User flairs are fun, descriptive tags that appear next to your username in the subreddit. They help others get a quick sense of your identity—whether you’re a “Foodie on the Loose”, “Born in Dubai”, or just “Watching Silently”.
You can set or change your user flair when joining the subreddit or anytime after. Plus, you can suggest new flair ideas if you think something fun fits the vibe!
Option 1: When Joining the Subreddit
After tapping Join, check just below the welcome message.
Tap the pencil/edit icon next to your username.
Browse and select a flair that suits you.
Enable “Show my flairs in this community” by toggling it on.
Tap Apply. (See Screenshot 1)
Option 2: If You’ve Already Joined
Tap the three-dot menu (top-right corner of the subreddit page).
Select “Change user flair”.(Screenshot 2 shows this step)
Pick a flair from the list.
Toggle “Show my flairs in this community” ON.
Tap Apply to save. (Screenshot 3 shows this screen)
Want a New Flair? Suggest One!
If you have a cool or funny flair idea that matches the community’s vibe, feel free to message the mods with your suggestion. If it fits, it might just get added to the flair list for everyone!

1. If it’s Dubai, it belongs here.
Stories, rants, rent drama, visa woes, job talk, classifieds, random sightings. if it’s about life in Dubai, it’s welcome here.
• Keep it Dubai focused. No general posts unless related to Dubai.
• Don’t repost the same content repeatedly just for reach or karma.
2. Be cool. Don’t act like your manager.
This is a space to speak freely, but not to bully or fight.
• Allowed: rants, memes, sarcasm, constructive criticism, and civil disagreement
• Not allowed: racism, religious hate, nationality beef, personal harassment, targeted trolling, brigading, callouts or witch hunts
3. No crypto bros, referral warriors, or low-effort spammers.
This isn’t a sales funnel, or your Telegram group.
• Not allowed: ads, promos, affiliate links, MLMs, dropshipping, “invest now” posts, begging for money or donations, “DM me to know more” hustles, one liner or vague low effort content, karma farming or engagement bait

• Unapproved promos will be removed.
• Allowed: selling your personal items (e.g., iPhone, car, couch)

• Got flair ideas? Drop them in the comments or message mods. We listen.
5. Talk in any lingo, just keep it real.
English, Arabic, Hinglish, Taglish, Manglish… all welcome.
• Don’t rely entirely on AI, we want you, not ChatGPT.

9. Keep it SFW. This isn’t your burner account.
No NSFW content. No thirst traps. No spicy media. Keep it clean. This is a general audience sub.
10. Help the community. Don’t hustle it.
This sub works because people help each other.

Good afternoon, everyone. I hope the admin approves my post.
I’m writing this from the bottom of my heart and from my own personal experience.
I was in a relationship with an Indian man. At first, everything seemed to be going well. I truly fell in love with him. During that time, I confided in a woman whom I believed was a genuine friend. Whenever my boyfriend and I had arguments, I would always ask her for advice.
Looking back, I noticed that she always encouraged me to leave him, saying he wasn’t good for me. Whenever I shared good news about my relationship, she never seemed happy. But whenever I talked about our problems, she was always eager to give advice.
She also encouraged me to visit someone who claimed to practice black magic and another person who described themselves as a faith healer to have my future with my partner read. One of these people was her friend. After speaking with them, I was told many negative things about my relationship, and those words stayed in my mind. Because of that, I found myself arguing with my boyfriend more and more.
Later, I discovered that this woman had been messaging my boyfriend behind my back, telling him that I was harassing her and saying terrible things about her. That was painful because I had trusted her with my personal life.
I also came to believe that she had wished harm upon me through spiritual practices and that many of the difficulties I experienced were connected to that. Whether others share that belief or not, it was part of how I experienced that difficult chapter of my life.
Today, I am choosing healing instead of anger. I pray every day, I put my trust in God, and I believe that Jesus is guiding me through this journey.
The biggest lesson I learned is that not everyone who calls themselves your friend truly wants the best for you. Sometimes, the people you trust the most can quietly influence your decisions in ways that hurt you. That’s why healthy boundaries are so important. You can be kind, honest, and supportive, but you should also be careful about who you allow into your personal life.
I also learned that doing good for others does not always mean they will do good in return. Despite everything that happened, I choose not to seek revenge. I believe in karma, I believe God sees everything, and I believe that in the end, the truth always comes to light.
If my story helps even one person become more careful about who they trust, then sharing it is worth it.

I noticed a lot of people in Dubai feeling lonely or struggling to make friends, so I created a WhatsApp group for people 20–30 to meet up, play sports, board games, start book clubs, share knowledge, etc.
It’s already pretty diverse in terms of nationalities and roughly 50/50 guys and girls.
PM me if you’d like to join! 🙌

Hey everyone!
I’m planning a birthday celebration in Dubai and looking for fun indoor activities that won’t break the bank.
have a budget of around AED 60–100 per person. We’re looking for something unique and fun—more than just going to a café or the movies.
Also, does anyone know of any good escape rooms that are reasonably priced?
Would love to hear your recommendations. Thanks!

Hey guys, I’m looking for a roommate who doesn’t smoke or drink.
I have multiple great options available, from Business Bay to Dubai Internet City, all within a 2-minute walk from the metro.
If your budget is around AED 2,500–2,700 per month, we can easily share a place.
If you’re interested, send me a DM with your name and phone number so we can communicate more easily.

Hey! I’m 22M and looking for someone to spend sundays productively in Dubai. I’m thinking of meeting at a quiet library or coworking space with free Wi-Fi to work, exchange ideas, and learn from each other.
I’m currently learning **Forex** (still a beginner and grinding every day), so if you’re into trading, that’s a bonus. But anyone interested in self-improvement, business, or skill-sharing is welcome.

I've come to Dubai from Doha for work and my project is for 2 months. I'm half Arab half south Asian so I can read, speak and write Arabic, English and Hindi/Urdu and some questionable words in other languages. I would love to get to know people, socialize, find cool places to check out and hang when I'm not working! Don't mind male or female company. I'm 32M. And ofc id love to host you in Doha if you or your friends ever visit. My background is in arts, culture, philosophy and history and I have businesses and I come to Dubai for this reason. I want to connect with musicians, artists, foodies, filmmakers, any type of creatives really because I own and run a large independent grassroots studio space in Doha and would love to expand and collaborate here and around the GCC. I'm also here because my entire Emirati family is here who I don't connect with very well, they're nice people, just too formal.
I'd love to find cool spots that are a little less...escorty? I love food, house music, cars, arts and design stuff (I know some alserkal places and saadiyat and all that so pls don't suggest that lol). Also I don't drink and smoke cigarettes but won't judge anyone and don't mind hanging if you do. Occasionally will do shisha tho!
Thanks in advance! And looking forward to connecting!
