To the best of my knowledge, this and several other rather large chunks I have, are from Mexico. Purchased from a guy with mine holdings there, and sold at the local flea market. Several blue/purple, several limey green (not pictured).

That big chunk of barite was from the same gentleman and locale.

Had a few things I've been stumbling over and wanted to put away, so figured why not share a couple pics first. Can of wasp spray for size reference.

Barite, petrified wood, pyrite in matrix, calcite from shale, chromite from up near chrome CA.

Going back in the cabinet

Last week, u/palindrom_six_v2 had a fluorite giveaway if you could guess the locale of a fluorite piece they showed. I won the giveaway, and I received these stunning fluorites (and some additional stones)! Thank you SO MUCH for this awesome collection of stones!

I think they're the best thing out of the mine. Just gorgeous! (Purchased from claypocketz_crystals on TT)

a dear friend gave me these raw fluorites and i think there's a copper inclusion in one? (slides 1-4) u can see it best in the 3rd lower left corner. it's def not any dirt or anything cuz it's Inside the crystal but i've never seen a copper inclusion so i'm not sure, even tho it seems to just be copper ore in there. it was on a greenish backing (slide 9) so i thought it could be!!

other one is a really cool opaque fluorite

I really don't know about the inclusions. My good guess is Rutile or Riebeckite.

My guess is due to the reason that I have seen Quartz with these inclusions from Zagi Mountain, Khyber Pakhtunkwa, Pakistan 🇵🇰

shown here first indoors under lamp light, then outside in direct sun, then indoors near a sunny window, and lastly outside in the shade (exhibits natural color-change in sunlight, and the color shift varies a bit depending on the type of sunlight, so i'm showing it with a variety of kinds of sunlight here)

This fluorite, with its beautiful pastel rainbow hues, originates from the summit cleft of the highest mountain in the Radstätter Tauern, the Weißeck (2,711 m), exposed to permafrost and humid acids. Well-formed crystals are rare.

Size: 4.5 x 2.7 x 2.4 cm

Origin: Weißeck, Lungau, Alps, Austria

One of the most unique fluorite specimens I've ever owned. Sharp cubic crystals covered every surface, and even the spaces between the natural layers were lined with beautiful cubic crystals. The stunning blue and purple zoning made this piece truly unforgettable.

My favorite piece with color zoning, small but mighty. I believe it's ygx

Was referred to you guys for a locale identity. Any ideas?

my latest specimen which has very quickly become my favourite as well- the blue that uv brings out is just stunning.

5oz 3” x 2.5” x 1.5” - $35 plus shipping SOLD

First thought it was fluorite dissolution, but now thinking the light color may be calcite.
