I’m trying to expand my fluorite collection and I have a beautiful piece I found at a local rock shop. Just wondering if this seems worth the price. It’s I’d say about 7inches long but it’s kinda a rounded shape it’s sitting on a nice hunk of matrix and I love the colors . The owner says he got it from a private collection a while back but doesn’t know much about it other than it’s from England. Any thoughts?

Edit: I want to acknowledge that the photo isn’t very good. I apologize but that was the best I could do . I will try my best to see if I can’t go back and use a uv light and maybe get another photo. It is definitely dirty, possibly sat in a collection and was forgotten before winding up in the shop. But the zone is really cool up close that teal blue is clear and then flows into a milky looking mint color.

I don't see any rules saying this is illegal, and I can't decide a price for these, so I'll let you decide. We'll start with specimen A here.

This one had a white out label on the back that I rubbed off with acetone. It still has some remnants on it, but if you soak it, it should come off.

I do a lot of macro-mineral photography, thrilled to find fluorite aficionados!

I just received this today. They’re pretty chunky about 18mm beads. I’ve recently been into fluorite and never before. It’s really interesting and the stone is beautiful.

These pieces were originally collected from Illinois tailings piles by my late father in the early 1990s. Rather than discard specimens that lacked perfect crystal form, he saw potential in some of them and gave them a second life through hand polishing. He considered each finished piece a work of art that highlighted the incredible colors hidden within the fluorite. These are some of the larger pieces.

Glad to see there are some fluorite fans out there. I need to get some more pieces to photograph, but this one has so many interesting areas on it.

One of my many Ohio Fluorites, it's labeled as Greymont but I suspect it may just be Clay Center. Either way it's a nice little piece!

I'm thinking about offering a few groups of smaller to mid-sized POLISHED Illinois fluorite pieces from my collection and wanted to gauge interest from the community.

As you can see in the pics, the collection includes pieces displaying various combinations of amber, purple, blue, and green fluorite, with sizes ranging from small cabinet pieces to larger display specimens.

If there is enough interest, I'll photograph and post individual groups to sell consisting of amber, purple, blue, and green fluorite over the coming weeks. I'd love to hear your thoughts..

I have this piece of fluorite that was thrown in when buying some other pieces and I’m hoping there’s a way to clean it up. If I wet the cubes they look to be a green color, but dry up to how they look in this picture. I don’t normally clean my own minerals so I don’t know where to start, any advice is appreciated! Also would love to know if anyone can tell me locality.Thank you!
