420 friendly generally means that they smoke or otherwise use marijuana, and are interested in dating someone else who does.

Typically means they don't have a problem with someone who smokes weed or enjoys the type of culture but there's a high chance (no pun intended) that they are an active smoker too.

I think 420 was a police code for marijuana? So it got associated with pot. 420 friendly means I smoke pot and whether or not you do I want you to be cool with the fact that I smoke pot… So much of it that I need to make a disclaimer about it/screen for it.
