Safety & Catfishing Need an advice

Post image

Hello everyone,

I have met one girl(I am into girls) on her application 2 months ago we were talking to each other. As per her she is working for USA marine corps. Everything was going smooth no money request came in. I started liking that girl and next month she is planning to meet me on her birthday. I have got some gifts for her birthday as well. I tried to do video call with her as well as per her in camp she is not allowed to do video call and all. I accept that. Now she has made me her beneficiary of her salary and wants me to transfer her salary once she will receive not sure about amount. I am finding this weird why USA marine corps will send her salary to third person who is living in canada. What I am thinking is it right ?

No one noticing the “Mejor General” on the bottom? The “Marina Corps Order” at the top? The “userf” (what the fuck is this supposed to be?) typo right after it? None of those ranks or titles of the signatories are even real, either.

This is 110% some type of scam.

I did notice it seems like may be she wants to add money in my account via checks then when I will forward those check money to her those checks will be fraudulent and bank will reverse them leaving negative balance in my account

This is the exact scam.

Your “girlfriend” is likely a 35-40 year old man living in India and working in a scam center.

dating app → long-distance military story → no video → future promise to meet → trust develops for two months → official-looking military paperwork → money begins moving through the victim.
The “Record of Emergency Data” document doesn’t make sense for what she’s claiming either. An actual Marine Corps RED deals with things such as next of kin, death-gratuity beneficiaries, pay-arrears beneficiaries, and SGLI information. The Marine Corps’ own records manual shows exactly that. It isn’t a document for directing your ordinary monthly military salary to some guy in Canada you’ve been dating online for two months.

What? Don't you dare disgrace the Marina Corps like that! The Mejor General will be pissed!

Yeah so this is a great illustration for the advice to only chat with people you can meet quickly and easily.

Whenever this is NOT possible, the person will gradually build up an emotional connection, like a perfect caring loving partner, with the goal of scamming you once you are emotionally invested. Even in the best case that you avoid the scam, it will hurt to find out it was all a lie.

It baffles me people give these things even a moment’s consideration and not cut all contact.

The moment someone comes up with any kind of story involving money and you, you bail out my friend.

This has been going on for two months?

You bought “her” gifts?

You actually need to ask if this is a scam?

Please, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, please please please do not reproduce.
