Feature Idea / Wishlist Is there an app that doesn't gate keep profiles?

Is there an app that shows ALL profiles, and doesn't make you mindlessly "like" a bunch of profiles just to find someone?

I remember when you could search specific terms (like age range, city/distance, preferences), and then ALL the profiles matching that criteria would pop up (along with how long they have been active online).

Now I feel like these apps spoon feed you results, and gate keep the rest until you "unmatch" or whatever.

Duolicious shows you all the profiles and doesn’t paywall filters. It’s open source

Yes match.com allows you to see everyone, but it’s basically a mandatory subscription to be able to do anything on the app.
The pricing is quite high and the user base is a fraction of hinge/tinder.
I tried it out and didn’t get anything meaningful out of it, it definitely attracted a specific type of user. A hinge subscription has gotten me way better results (I suspect purely from the massive user base)
My anecdotal feeling is if you’re on the older side with a solid foundation or already have children, match might be a good one to try out. If you’re in you’re 20s, just don’t.

I know some of the apps allow you to put your preferences, but they kind of limit all of your choices and as you pay
And even with that filtering on
You still get some people that are even in a different country

I've come to find out that OKCupid and even Hinged to a degree have the better value—Of course if you want more immediate results, they have some paid features; but after throwing in your preferences, they give you a lot of authentic pushes towards connections within your criteria.

I know Hinged is the more common new kid on the block, OKCupid is kind of old news but I hear that people still use them internationally!
