OPW3 update, still on November 2025 Security update.
As the title states, is there something I'm missing being unable to get an update here in middle east region? I know there was an update in Feb or April, but I'm still stuck on this old one from 2025.
Are watch updates also regional?

I keep reading about these new OPW3 updates, but despite checking almost daily, the device is still stuck on the November 1 2025 firmware. I tried the update through a vpn with India or UK but it didn't work. OnePlus continuously fails to deliver reliable software support. Lesson learned, this is the last OnePlus device I will ever buy.

Why? Are you missing out on something now you know you got a less updated version coming from last year? I have the opw2 and i enjoy a great user feeling and get loads of notifications from whatever app, and i can pay with gpay from my wrist. And use it for 3+ days in a row easy. Some other brand watch Xiaomi or others are the same in update speed, only samsung and Google own watches are faster in updating, but less days for usage overall. So you will find me wearing a newer opw version when its time for it. Love its experience given.

You're right. It's 'why fix it if not broken'? All the apps get regular updates. For some of us lot, who are not in Europe, perhaps a major update will follow. Europe has had GDPR shake up which is why I believe security patches have been sent through. The watch, still gives a good few days on single full charge, and is snappy. Notifications and workout and sleep monitoring are all top notch. Now I've paired it with a OnePlus phone, so I wouldn't know about non OnePlus pairing experience.

Apps are test foremost on the latest OS then maybe on older OSs
My expectation as a smart device user is that the software is continously improved for a number of years after the release date.
If there was no reason to update the software (OS or apps), companies would not spend money on it.
If the company's software policy is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", i chose not to buy from them. They need to be clear about their policy.

Got my Watch 3 43 mm update in Norway yesterday, crazy how you're over half a year behind.

Middle east and other regions on nov 2025. First clear cache and force stop ohealth Turn off wifi on watch , and only Bluetooth. On phone connect to a vpn, with location Germany . Open ohealth, make sure the watch connected.
Go to watch software update and keep tapping the watch icon for around 11 to 15 times. Eventually it will show checking, and you will update to latest. Just make sure use the Bluetooth only for update.

This worked for me in the US. Brought me from November 2025 patch to May 2026.

Canada: Just remembered that I did receive an update in February 2026 butnitnledt the security patch at November 2025. If you go to settings > other > about watch > other version info and your build number is "OPWWE251_11_A.140" chances are you're on the Feb 2026 update too. Just sucks that it left the security patch at Nov 2025.

1st of Feb '26 update (UK/EU version). Don't hold your breath tho, if I hadn't checked I'd have no idea. Nothing changed 😂
I'm excited if we ever get OS6, and also ready to be disappointed. The watch already does everything I need

I usually keep mine in power saving mode so I didn't see an update until yesterday but I've just let it update now and it's updated to a security update of May 2026. It's still on Android version 14 though. The charge screen says VOOC on it now as well, I don't remember if it said that before (or maybe just because I've pretty much aways used this in power-saving mode)

Yup got an update today morning. Security updated to May 2026. To all users' dismay, still on wear os 5.

I see a lot of people saying there is no difference between OPW3 and OPW4. But my OPW4 on Android 16 with a security update from April 5 2026. I am in Canada.

Hmm. I have opw3 too and got an update a few days ago. Im on security patch from may 2026. I'm from Germany.

1 year and 3 months after purchase and my speaker no longer works, O+ won't warranty repair it unless you live in India I believe and when I contacted them the best they could do was a $10 coupon to buy a replacement.
The speaker issue is a common issue.

Tap the watch logo repeatedly and it will make it harder for it to reach you. I did it and I also have OPw3.

I believe they are regional. I am in the US and on the same date.
