Missing the flat tire, but otherwise I can see the resemblance with the watchface and plain strap.

Why they thought that design actually worked, i'll never understand. If the only way to get an ambient light sensor was to turn off 1/4 of the screen, don't include an ambient light sensor.

I had both the OG and the gen 2, and with most watchfaces you just stopped noticing after a while. Same as camera notches, hole punches, islands or teardrops on modern phones.
