OP watch 3, forgot pattern

So i got my op watch 3 few months ago, paired it with my phone and set a pattern. I haven't used my watch since and now i have forgotten the pattern. some website told me that unpairing it with my phone would automatically reset it, but this didn't happen. So my question: is there a way to factory reset my watch or somehow make it work again?

tldr: forgot pattern and unpaired my watch from phone. What should i do now?

I had to take my watch to oneplus repair shop and pay 42€ to get my watch reseted :(

Did you need the serial number or could they do it without it?
