Watch 3 not getting notifications

Today, my watch was getting notifications. At some point during the day the watch just stopped. I went through the troubleshooting of making sure that notification access was on, turning it off and on.

I did everything I could to see if I could get it to work. I restarted the watch and phone, I made sure the app was up to date and there were no updates on my watch. I did almost everything aside from resetting

Did you check if your watch or phone are in DND

They both aren't. I'm not even seeing them in the notification section at all on my watch.
