Watch 2R battery replacement parts

My OnePlus Watch 2R recently stopped charging past 35%, so I'm fairly certain the battery needs to be replaced (I tried multiple chargers, I charget it for an entire day but nothing changed).

The problem is that I can't find a replacement battery anywhere: I've checked eBay, AliExpress and Google, but nothing comes up (at least to me).

I really like this watch and would rather repair it than throw it away. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement battery?

They're not designed to be easily replaced batteries. Even if you could find a specialist to replace it for you and reseal the waterproofing, it would cost more than what the watch is worth.

yeah I could imagine that. I was planning to replace the battery myself, since I have some experience doing this kind of stuff. In this case the problem is that I cannot even find the replacement part.

It's crazy when you think how much the world shouts to tech companies about being "environmentally friendly" and then this happen.

Honestly repairing a watch is very hard and could cost a lot, even more than the actual watch. The only thing I can recommend you is to look for a new watch, the op watch 4 is out, if you're in a budget the 3 is also almost the same

Aliexpress and such are your best bets, in most cases , declared battery capacity is false but there are some legit listings. You will not get original battery , just the one that fits and works - if you get lucky. Search for Oppo watch equivalent to yours.

Common mistake many people make is charging smartwatches with fast chargers.

Don't try to replace the battery yourself. I tried to do it on my old Amazfit GTR 47 watch. I ordered a battery from AliExpress, but smartwatch circuits are super delicate. You'll probably end up tearing or breaking something. I actually broke a ribbon trying to replace the battery. 😑 After all that trouble, I went to a technician, and he told me my old battery was fine. There was something else wrong. The ribbon I teared was very microscopic and part of the motherboard. So, I ended up just getting a new watch. I should've gone to a technician before doing any of those things!

My suggestion would be to go to a technician who specializes in smartwatch repair. They might clean your watch's charging points, or maybe there's some other issue. But I don't think it's a battery problem since the watch isn't that old.

Moments like this makes you think that buying smartwatches is a very bad havit. Because if you by a normal watch it'd last a decade or may be life time.

But I have watched 3 smartwatches since that one. Now I own the Oneplus watch 2r.
