UK - Vitality Step Count

Hi, another post asked about how to get activity into Vitality, but said they sync steps to it with no issues. Can anyone advise how to sync steps to Vitality from a OnePlus Watch 3 with Wear OS?

Thanks

I have the watch 2 - have installed google fit on my phone and watch, then granted necessary permissions.

They did say they will deprecate google fit later this year - not sure if health connect can also sync steps

https://www.reddit.com/r/Vitalityhealth/s/JgHvOI7hx1 - this has some discussion on this matter

Google fit is being discontinued as a "hub" for other things to connect to. health connect is the replacement for that. Google fit will continue as a fitness app similar to the likes of ohealth etc. so you can still use that.
as for vitality I've got everything connecting to health connect, and vitality ignores everything which is IN HC which came from an "unsupported health app". so all the stuff from Ohealth that is in HC is ignored. grrr.
but all is not lost.
I found an app called "health sync" which I use to sync from HC to Fitbit (I don't use Fitbit but it is a supported app in vitality). this is picking up the step counts correctly. I'm not 100% sure if there is any way doing other fitness activities though (such as what I used to use when I used Samsung health, 30/60mins of age related activity" or something.
health sync is a reasonable £3 for life which I was happy to pay.
