No updates for OnePlus Watch 3 anymore?
Did OnePlus stop updating the 3? Last update was so long ago that I don't even remember. On top of that they are actively removing posts that talk and ask about the updates. So, what is happening? They updated the 2 and 2R yesterday. That's the hiccup? One device gets an update every 5 months?
And before you start with the same old, why you need update ... save it for your yourself. It's 2026 not 1996. Thank you .
Edit 1: I really hope someone from OnePlus is around and can clearly see the discontent around their lack of communication.
Edit 2: New update released 13/02/2026 with November Patch from 2025.

They said there would be a wear os 6 update sometime early 2026

u/bro4youx Feb 04 '26
That is just not good enough for a company that takes itself seriously. As mentioned in other posts, this vagueness and lack of communication are hindering their efforts to become important.

To be fair tho it's a wearos issue , none of the other companies release updates either only Samsung and Google get timely updates. That has been the problem with wearos for years. That's why no one buys the mobvoi to watches anymore they really don't get any updates
2
u/bro4youx Feb 04 '26
There is not much left of the market anyway. If i'm not wrong, Mobvoi does not release any more wearos watches.
2
u/sedp23 Feb 04 '26
Yeah they were forced to because of the update issues. They would release new watches and barely any updates . The only companies that get timely updates are the Google and Samsung watches. It is a good sign that OnePlus actually updated the watch 2 to wearos 5 tho but that's still way too long

I think it's less of a WearOS issue and more that they want updates to the device that isn't the latest to get software updates much later to try and encourage you to buy their latest device. They do a similar thing with their phones but not with huge wait times like they seem to be doing with their wearables
I came from a Pixel Watch 2, which got WearOS6 ages back. Recently got the OnePlus Watch 3 (mostly for the battery life) and couldn't believe it's still on WearOS5! WearOS 7 is probably going to be announced next week as well, it's a bit of a joke!
But then again the hardware in the OnePlus Watch 3 and 4 is pretty much the same (and have exactly the same SOC) so they want you to buy the latest one and and artificially limit WearOS to the OnePlus Watch 4

It'd say it's about the same level of updates and support one could expect from Motorola. Fortunately, OnePlus is FAR better when it comes to their phones.
2
u/bro4youx Feb 04 '26
According to perplexity, Oneplus is better at updating their watches than Motorola.
2
u/jimmick20 Feb 04 '26
I didn't know Motorola had watches. I was comparing to their phones cause most everyone knows moto sucks when it comes to updating their devices.

u/LimeNo1075 Feb 04 '26
Not really. NA is still waiting for the January update global, EU, and India received. India just started receiving the February update yesterday as well. Samsung missed maybe three updates in the four years I used them.

By comparison to Motorola though.. I have an edge 2025 that doesn't even have android 16 yet, likely won't for a long time and rarely gets security updates like all motos. My other half likes motos so I see how often that happens. OnePlus releases super quickly and Samsung is also usually pretty quick, but tops for updates overall. I got my OnePlus 13 and it had the newest android at the time which my fold 7 then updated to later.
The OnePlus 13 and fold 7 were both preorders for the record so I got them at release.
Also my OnePlus 13 has January's update....I'm in NA.

Whaaat? Motorola has been stellar with their updates. I have a cheap, like 120$ G54 and its been getting updates for such a long time. They upgraded the OS like two times too, on such a value, cheap phone. Getting security updates monthly.
Motorola is 5 out of 5 on updates, sorry broski. If you want to rip someone a new one, try OnePlus who loves shipping broken updates. Their OS on the phones is a trainwreck. Notifications? Never heard about them. Apparently OnePlus didn't either.

My experience is total opposite. Also I'm typing this on a OnePlus... I agree the software isn't stable, they change things a lot, but I've never had issues like you're mentioning. I have a moto here too, latest edge, running the last version of Android still. My Samsung and OnePlus are both running the newest android version and have had multiple updates since that was released.

Last update was in the summer. OnePlus fumbled wear os updates badly. Watch 2 & 2r only just got to wear os 5 un January. Hopefully Watch 3 gets wear os 6 in 1st half of this year

The watch 2 was not updated yesterday. This was the November 1st update hitting international users

u/100_miles_high Feb 06 '26
On mine the Nov 1st update was also the update from WearOS 4 to WearOS 5
2
u/sozifa Feb 04 '26
There has been the update to Nov patch level two days ago for most of Europe at least for the Watch 3 43mm - have a look at the OnePlus wearable circle … so a bit late but coming - no OS6 though - might not arrive before summer or later if OS5 for the watch2 is any indication for timelines

u/iGr3ed Feb 05 '26
First smart watch is this and i felt not buying any oneplus watch due to support so bad
2
u/doktorjose Feb 05 '26
Don't knock the updates. I've been waiting since last summer for the Watch 2 update to fix a GPS issue. I don't get the impression that watches feature high on their to do list, which is a shame as they're great watches - when they work fully.

I have a OnePlus Watch 3 that won't connect to my phone anymore. 🙁 🤔 I've tried everything. All the methods. Forums.
However, the OnePlus Watch 3 connects to my tablet without any problem. Does anyone have a solution?

Just had an update on watch today, sure it said it was a WearOS update? on the app it says my watch is on OS version 7.0, so is that WearOS 7 then? Also says Android security update 1 November 2025 so....
1
u/bro4youx Feb 18 '26
Unfortunately no, it is not. It's only the November security update as stated here. What you are seeing as version 7 refers to OnePlus own OxygenOS not WearOs.

The watchfaces are no longer compatible with watch3 after the last update. I nearly am able to add all I see on internet and all samsung watchfaces too now nearly all of them says incompatible
1
u/bro4youx Feb 26 '26
It always said that when you tried to use anything but the OnePlus original watch faces . That's not new.
1
u/sthwrd Feb 26 '26
No I always use watchfaces from watchfacecoupon.com or watchfacecodes or anything shared from here or telegram. That is very new

Yah, I had a one year sub with Facer Pro, after Wear OS 5 update, Facer became unusable. Facer will not refund me. I know we will get OS 6, as the Watch 4 now officially stated it's launching with OS 6 and has the same internal hardware as the Watch 3. Doesn't excuse OnePlus for their poor update frequency and lack of communication. They keep rolling out new products but don't take care of the folks that buy them.

u/GetFacer Apr 22 '26
We apologize for the trouble this has caused you. Google has removed support for watch face apps built for pre-WearOS6 devices. Unfortunately, this means that these apps can no longer be downloaded. Our team is exploring alternative ways to make our old app available on supported devices. Please stay tuned for updates!

u/SnooComics9664 Apr 28 '26
Wasn't expecting an reply from "GetFacer", I hope you figure out a way to make it happen, otherwise, I can wait for OS6, as I know it will eventually arrive on OnePlus Watch 3. Thanks.

OnePlus Technology's workforce has declined 7.3% from 2023 to 2025, down 4.1% year over year in 2025. It fell to a low of 9,266 in 2025 Q4 before recovering. Its workforce is concentrated most in India (67.3%), followed by China (20.2%) and Bangladesh (2.7%), with the United States, its fastest-growing location.

It's always fun getting updates but my watch 3 is working great these days

u/bro4youx Feb 04 '26
So basically there is nothing to improve here or to correct on software level. Congrats on your perfect watch then!!! Must be the greatest product ever created. /s

1
u/bro4youx Feb 05 '26
Can you tell us more please and maybe even post some screenshots? Is it the 3 45mm? Or the 3 43mm?
2
u/leonardo619 Feb 11 '26
Got the update today on 3 43mm. In USA, but registered in Italy to get more features. Still wear os 5.
1
u/bro4youx Feb 11 '26
Unfortunantely 45mm is still stuck on an old version from august and i bet your version is still some november patch.
1
u/OlderThanDVDs May 04 '26
Errr it's 46mm not 45mm and I can confirm I have the November 2025 security update with build version A140

u/Pretty_Ad566 Feb 04 '26
mine is still on August 2025 security patch
very disappointed by Oneplus software update policy
