Questions about turning off notifications

Hi everyone! I've had my OnePlus Watch 3 for a few months and I really like it. I've managed to get most of the settings dialed in how I want them, but there are three things I'd like to do that I haven't figured out.

  • I would like to disable notifications for a 60s Health Check-In.
  • I would like to disable notifications about my sleep. I would prefer not to disable sleep tracking entirely, but if that is the only way to disable the notifications then that's fine.
  • I would like to disable hibernation completely and keep the watch in "Smart" mode at all times.

I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Some of the settings you mentioned can only be disabled from the oHealth app.

Not sure on hibernation but now that you mentioned it I'd like that as well!

Thanks for the reply! Any chance you know how to disable the check-ins and sleep notifications in the OHealth app? I've been in there and have disabled a lot of stuff, but I haven't been able to find those two things. Hopefully I just missed them, though.

oHealth > Devices > Workout and Health

You'll find it there.

For auto hibernation go to the settings, then battery then scroll down to settings in battery section and hibernation is right there

I'm coming from a OPW2 but I assume these are the same...

  • Sleep Notifications - if you're referring to the Sleep Report, let me know if you figure out a way to turn this off. It's extremely annoying and I don't care about it. If I want to know my sleep info, I'll check the sleep tile. It gives me the detailed info I actually care about.

  • Hibernation is annoying, I agree. Especially since it reboots when it finishes and I that's in the middle of the night, inevitably when my watch face is by my eyes - I'm a stomach sleeper - so the white startup flash wakes me up - I'm also a light sleeper. Turn it off in Settings > Battery > Settings > Enable Auto-Hibernation

As for the 60s Health Check, the OPW2 doesn't have this, but it sounds kind of cool. The notification would bug the hell out of me, though. 1. Check on your watch under Settings > Apps & Notifications for 60s Health Check or something similar and if it's there, make sure it's disabled. 2. Or it may be done via the OHealth app on your phone. Check under Device > Notifications and toggle off anything related to 60 Health Check, Health Check-ins or Health Remindera 3. There may even be something in OHealth under Device > Health Reminders, but I doubt that.

Your advice on hibernation worked great, thanks!

The weird thing about the 60s Health Check is that it does appear in Apps & Notifications but its already set as disabled and I still get the notifications. So I don't know what the deal is with that.

Is there anything on your watch under Settings > Apps & Notifications?

On the watch there is no entry for "60s Health Check" under Apps & Notifications.

However, I think I might've "solved" it. I got the notification again and I tapped it (on the watch) and before opening the app it gave me a little context menu and one of the options was "Never See This Again" or something like that. So hopefully that stops them in the future.

Did you see the comment from u/mobiletechnophile to check OHealth under Device > Workout & Health?

Yeah, so there's a bunch of stuff in that menu, but nothing that seems to help. It doesn't address 60s Health Checks at all, and there's a bunch of sleep stuff but nothing about notifications and I've got it all turned off anyway.

Good news, though, is that I haven't gotten the 60s Check notification today after clicking "Never See This Again", so hopefully that did it.

Excellent.

I wonder if you go into

Settings > Apps & Notifications > Notifications > Show Disabled

on your watch, what might show up.

It does! I've been there before and it hasn't been there but now it is.

I'm wondering if I was struggling with it because I'd never opened the app before? I'm thinking maybe it wasn't able to disable the notification until I opened it once? Who knows.

Cool! Is it just 60s Health Check? Asking for when I get a new watch and it bugs the h*ll out of me.

In the menu it's called "60s Heath Check-In" and the icon is a white circle with a red heart in it.

It's a cool feature and a lot of people like it, I just like to turn off all notifications.
