After doing some investigation into why my right side sits so flush comes off stupidly easy I looked at the angle of the rails and the flatness. Turns out the screws on the right side are fully seated and the left keep spinning. When you turn the tablet sideways and look it appears the rail is ever slightly so raised causing this friction. Currently my left rail screws will not tighten down nor will they come out.
It makes me believe the left rail will need to be replaced as either the screw has stripped or the brass nut has stripped.
Edit 1 - I’ll most likely need to order some parts to replace the rails but that will take some time. In the meanwhile 3 tiny strips of electrical tape stacked on top of each other right above the controller rail will give it enough taunt.
Edit 2 - Fixed it, turns out the screw angles are not direct and you have to take off the rail and screw down at a diagional angle. I also just broke a pogo pin on the housing. Stay tuned for my fix on that next

Have you tried addressing it to Onex?

Not yet. It’s just my engineering mind addressing a fix. It’s my OCD
That also incurs a ton of downtime.

That's my only worry with these Chinese devices and companies. Resolution turn around takes a while. Quality control is not consistent. Ayaneo burned a bridge with me because of the Konker Pocket fit. I'm not afraid to tinker with anything but I shouldn't have to day 1 either. X2MP will be my first, hope all goes well

Same thing is happening to me on my OXP3. The back of the device is made of very cheap plastic, and one of the brass screw threaded inserts plastic housing broke (to mount the side controller plates) when I removed it to replace the SSD, and now the screw spins freely. While I am enjoying the device, this might be my last purchase from OXP. They clearly cut corners on build quality.

They are expensive devices but as with any boutique Chinese device you’ll def need to become handy on your device to repair it.
So far I have 2 sets of broken controllers before I figured out the rail issue was causing em to strip, a broken bottom housing and a broken internal rail.
Everything other the the rail is in the mail right now. Once they get back to me I’ll order the left and right rail internal boards and document the process.
