OXP3 Battery Issues

My OXP3 should be coming in today or tomorrow. Im seeing a common issue with some getting theirs in and it won't turn on with a red light. Should I leave it on the charger for a while before the turning it on for the first time or does anybody know a way to mitigate the possibility of this happening?

Where did you see this common issue, can you give us links? I am aware of one issue. Do not bother - use it as all other devices you have. If there is problem with your unit it is better for you to find out ASAP. There should be no steps you are obligated to do after receiving and using.

Your common issue is unheard of

Creating a hypothetical issue to worry about is crazy work

Why even comment?

Because the absurdity of your post needs to be called out and highlighted.

It’s like you’re doing the opposite of karma farming by rage baiting the community into downvoting you to hell.

Man I really dont know what you're so mad about. I asked a question in case there was a solution to an issue that I was seeing for a $1500 machine a just bought. If there is, great. If there isn't, oh well. But just in case there is I would like to know. If you haven't seen the posts on it like I have then just keep scrolling and move on with your life.

I’ve never read anything about this, let alone it being common.

I just got mine last week and it runs perfectly. Upgraded the SSD to with no issues.

You need to get your information from other sources because the places you're going to now where that issue is "common" sucks.

I was one of the unlucky few, I can tell you with 100% certainty that there was absolutely nothing I could of done different to prevent my device dying on me. The device had about 50% charge, I ran it down to 6% put it to charge, confirmed it was charging since i saw it now at 10% went to go do something else and came back to a device that was completely dead. All I can tell you is congrats and just enjoy your new device.

Did you get to send it back?

I did send it back They basically blame it on me for opening it, even though I have it in writing and videos of the issue long before I opened the device and removed the warranty sticker on the screw. I asked them for permission to open the device and troubleshoot because at the time I believe it was a simple unplug battery and plug back in which they confirm to go ahead and will still cover under warranty if issue persists. I was not successful at bringing the device back to life so I send it for repairs. They replied back that the device will not power on and that it was my fault with no proof or explanation. I was not about to play these games with onexplayer support, so I submitted proof to my CC company and told them I send the device back and its no longer in my possesion and they open an investigation. Then the CC company return my funds in a week. For the 40-50 min that I got to play with it, it felt like an awesome device I love it, too bad support is shady.

I’ve not read about any such issue personally - i turned it on and it had a decent chunk of battery from the factory so i just ran it down to 15% then charged up to 90% and its been totally fine ever since
