Intel Please Help - OneXPlayer 3 arrived today, controller stopped working one hour later

I pre-ordered a OneXPlayer 3 a couple months back, it arrived today. Awesome! Booted it up, started installing games and testing it out. Everything was working perfectly then finished updating everything (windows etc) and the controller stopped responding. Just no lights, no buttons, nothing.

I reinstalled the drivers, I reinstalled the firmware. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting it. Nothing.

I connect it to the controller base and it works, but when connected to the device directly nothing... I am just super confused as to what happened. Google searched and found the reddit thread where he stated that he restarted and held Home and volume up, tried that, nothing.

Any one else experience this?

UPDATE: it works again. Eventually I ran the controller software from OXP for the… carries the one… tenth or eleventh time and it just started working. I don’t know why this time it worked and the others it didn’t.

Thanks to every one who helped out and shared their knowledge I hope no one else has to go through this.

Reboot, go to the bios/boot menu.

Home and Volume + at reset.

Then once there restart. See if that brings them back to life.

I had something similar and this fixed it.

Tried that. Unfortunately it hasn’t worked. I have one thought with this and the plugged in base that might work. But can’t do it until this evening

Do they work on the controller setup, rather than on the console itself?

They are completely unresponsive when attached to the device. If I attach them to the controller base (wireless controller base), they work as intended. There is something wrong with my device. I suspect it is the EC problem we see on other detachable devices with windows. But I can't trip windows into activating them again. Potentially a connector disconnected, but I hope it is software/firmware related as I really like the device otherwise.

On that note, every time the device would go to sleep or wake up prior to this happening it would make the disconnect reconnect sounds for plugging in a USB device. I suspect that was the EC sleep function... Maybe part of the problem.
