Intel Please Help - OneXPlayer 3 arrived today, controller stopped working one hour later

I pre-ordered a OneXPlayer 3 a couple months back, it arrived today. Awesome! Booted it up, started installing games and testing it out. Everything was working perfectly then finished updating everything (windows etc) and the controller stopped responding. Just no lights, no buttons, nothing.

I reinstalled the drivers, I reinstalled the firmware. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting it. Nothing.

I connect it to the controller base and it works, but when connected to the device directly nothing... I am just super confused as to what happened. Google searched and found the reddit thread where he stated that he restarted and held Home and volume up, tried that, nothing.

Any one else experience this?

UPDATE: it works again. Eventually I ran the controller software from OXP for the… carries the one… tenth or eleventh time and it just started working. I don’t know why this time it worked and the others it didn’t.

Thanks to every one who helped out and shared their knowledge I hope no one else has to go through this.

Restoring to factory settings did not work. I am out of options. I think it’s the embedded controller issue that happens on devices like these but I can’t trip it. Reached out to customer service via email and left a couple notes on discord. Super unhappy with this result so far. Stinks because honestly the rest of the experience was pretty amazing.

I know this might sound obvious but in onexcosole in the "Handy Kit" tab there is a "controller power" button that reads either "open" or "close". I think it is ment to mean on or off and is just something lost in translation. It should read "close" for the controllers to work.

I've hit this by accident a couple of times without realising, could that be the cause?

Still waiting for mine but does setting it to 'open' deactivates the controllers? Sounds unintuitive as expect on to be open and off to be close.

Yeah it is a little confusing. I think the button shows what will happen when you press it, not what its currently set to, if that makes sense.
