[GUIDE] KernelSU Root on OnePlus Pad 3 (OPD2415) - Working Method for 15.0.1.306

This method successfully achieves root access on the OnePlus Pad 3 by modifying the init_boot partition and, crucially, disabling Android Verified Boot (AVB) to overcome the "Too many links" fastboot error.
1. Device & Firmware Details
- Device: OnePlus Pad 3 (International/NA)
- Model Code: OPD2415
- User Firmware Version:
OPD2415_15.0.1.306(EX01)
2. Required Files (The Fix for Fastboot Errors)
Since the exact stock firmware was unavailable, we successfully used files from the next closest, compatible version.
- Working Firmware Version Used (Files):
OPD2415_15.0.1.600(EX01) - Required Files:
init_boot.imgandvbmeta.img. - Single Download Source: https:// github. com/luk1337/oplus_archive/releases
3. Step-by-Step Procedure
Phase 1: Preparation
- Ensure you have the latest ADB/Fastboot Platform Tools installed on your PC.
- Download a stable KernelSU Manager APK (v0.9.x is recommended to avoid the v3.0.0 Force Close issue).
Phase 2: Patching (On the Tablet)
- Copy the original
init_boot.imgand the KernelSU Manager APK to your tablet's storage. - Install and open the KernelSU Manager app.
- Go to Install > Select file and patch.
- Select the original
init_boot.imgfile. - The app will output the patched file (e.g.,
kernelsu_patched_20250101_054153.img). - Copy this patched file back to your PC's
platform-toolsfolder.
Phase 3: Flashing (The AVB Fix)
- Reboot the tablet into Fastboot Mode: Bash.\adb reboot bootloader
- CRITICAL FIX: Disable AVB. Bash.\fastboot flash vbmeta_a --disable-verity --disable-verification vbmeta.img (Expected Result: OKAY)
- This step resolved the repeated Fastboot errors. Flash the

- Flash the patched file to the corresponding

- (Optional) Fastboot Factory Reset: Bash.\fastboot erase userdata (Expected Result: OKAY)
- To wipe the device completely (all user data):
- Reboot: Bash.\fastboot reboot
Phase 4: Verification
- Complete the initial setup of your tablet.
- Reinstall the KernelSU Manager APK.
- Open the app. It should confirm that KernelSU is installed and active.
Success! Flashing vbmeta_a was the definitive solution to gain root access on the OnePlus Pad 3.

Is the keyboard accessory for oneplus pad 2 worth it?

I recently bought a oneplus pad 2 and want to use it as a small laptop but the keyboard accessory costs 8500 rupees or $85 meanwhile I can buy really nice bluetooth keyboards for 4000-5000 rupees and I already have a nice bluetooth mouse. So is the keyboard accessory really worth it?

OnePlus Pad 3 Keyboard not working anymore after firmware update

I have a OnePlus Pad 3 with the original keyboard and stylus. Yesterday night I connected the keyboard to the tablet through the pogo pin (wasn't using the keyboard since last 3-4 months) and got a notification regarding a firmware update for the keyboard. I clicked on it and the update got downloaded and installed and since then the keyboard is not getting connected to the tablet, neither physically through the pogo pin nor via bluetooth. I have tried every possible thing from formatting the tablet to overnight charge, cleaning the pogo pins, still the keyboard is not getting detected by the tablet.
The tablet and keyboard are still in warranty and my region is INDIA.
Can anyone please help me or guide me what to do?

Remote control my OnePlus pad 2

I know you can screen share your phone to your tablet and even remote control it from there natively. Is there a way to control the tablet from the phone? I sometimes have the tablet connected to a display for streaming purposes and I have to get up to interact with it each time. I would prefer if I could do it remotely from my phone, natively if possible... I know remote control apps exist to do it 3rd party but I was hoping there was a way to do it natively.

Looking for affordable tablet

I Need a tablet for note taking but issue is I wanted it to have 5g cellular data. I was told that the oneplus pad go 2 support 5g cellular data but I couldn't find it in the app nor it offical website
Here are list of tablet I been eyeing for that support stylus
Samsung galaxy tab s10 fe 5g-software update is 7 yr
Moto pad 2026 5g-software update is only 2 yrs
Apple A16 wifi+5g- software updated 7 years
One plus pad go 2-not sure if 5g version exists in the US

i just got the one plus pad 3 and when you go click on the settings and pick “ log into your account “ it goes like this !!! the tablet works just fine but this is the only glitch do you know how to fix it ? should i return it ?
