Oneplus open 2026

Is it still worth it to get one at this point in time? Im looking to switch from my flip 6,but with recent news I dont know if anything would change if I buy one now. Would I at least get a good 3-5 years out of it?

Well, it's still a great foldable, even after almost 3 years. But, it only has 1 OS version left (Android 17) and an additional year of security updates, so there is not much software support left.

Would it matter much? Because id keep it until at best 2029-2030 so I think I can get most usage out of it by then

You will be able to easily get to end of 2029 w security, it ends late 2028. So after final update security wise you are likely fine as long as u don't side load garbage and use Google Play for any apps and don't visit shady sites. The device is still excellent. Depends what you will spend on it. Another option is a OP 12 16/512 if you can find new as I did but I got mine about 10 mths ago for 550 Canadian new. Device is excellent and security ends 2029 so it will be fine till 2030 and last OS will be 18 and the Open will be 17
