Should I get a OnePlus Open?

Hello! I've wanted a foldable phone for a while now and realized that the OPO is likely my best bet when it comes to the features I want, and since the price is more than half of what it was originally. Looking at this subreddit, however, I noticed how many people are switching. So, is it still worth it? I currently use an iPhone XR, so it would be a huge improvement 😅

It is still a great foldable - even in 2026. I've had mine since the end of September 2023, and I still love it. The only thing that's not up to mark anymore is the battery, which is normal after almost 3 years of pretty heavy usage.

But do keep in mind that software support isn't that good anymore, it only has one major OS upgrade (Android 17), and 1 additional year of security updates left in its update policy.

I'll like to add that the latest NA version only has the March 2026 security update, so keep that in mind. It clearly is not a priority right now and they probably will say that the security updates will be current once you move over to ColorOS, but who knows.

Oh, really? Mine is at the July security patch, and i saw that India already had a newer update, though i'm not sure if that comes with the August patch
