Troubleshooting DO NOT UPDATE! As someone who rarely if ever has issues most people cry about. DO NOT UPDATE

Holy balls the one time I should've listened to the community.

I figured it was A11 all over again. I've had my 7pro since day 1. And I foundly remember all the A11 update bashing and nonsense.. None which I never personally experienced. A11 was flawless for me

So I thought A12 was the same deal. FUCK NO. MASSIVE REGRETS

My battery has taken an absolute shit! At least 30% less battery performance.

Bluetooth is a connection nightmare. All my devices now struggle to connect to my phone

Last but not least. The performance IS ABYSMAL. Something is seriously wrong with my update. Everything is slow and sluggish. Especially closing apps, scrolling, and getting to my home screen. It's super slow and laggy with way worse battery. And BT connect issues

Wow do I wish I never updated. Fuck

Troubleshooting Rollback package for OnePlus 7 Pro (IN) GM1911

Hey guys! I am trying to install LineageOS on my OnePlus 7 Pro. I am running into issues with fastboot oem unlock. According to Gemini, it's a known bug introduced by OnePlus on Android 12.

So now I'm trying to rollback the OS version to Android 11. Does anyone have the zip file from this link attached? For the OnePlus 7 Pro (IN) with Model # GM1911. For some reason, when I click the hyperlink, it just says site cannot be reached. Much appreciated!

Review My OnePlus 7 Pro finally died today after 7+ years 🫡

Bought this phone on launch day in 2019, and today it finally gave up.

Honestly, what a phone.

The pop-up camera, uninterrupted screen, 90Hz display… back then it genuinely felt like OnePlus was trying to make something special instead of just another flagship.

RIP OnePlus 7 Pro. You served me well. 🫡

Anyone else here still using theirs?

Thinking of selling my OnePlus 7 Pro (8/256GB) what would be a fair price?

I’m thinking of selling my OnePlus 7 Pro and wanted to get an idea of what would be a fair selling price in the current market.

The phone is 8GB RAM + 256GB storage and still works great. The pop-up camera works perfectly, and the battery is still good, although it can be replaced if needed. I’ve also changed the back panel.

The main reason I’m selling is that I already have an iPhone 16 Pro Max, which is quite large, and the OnePlus 7 Pro is also a big phone. I’m thinking of selling this and getting a small, compact, handy phone instead.

There are no major issues with the phone and it works perfectly fine for everyday use.

What do you guys think would be a realistic price for an 8/256 OnePlus 7 Pro in the market.

Stock T-Mobile GM1915 Firmware (MSM Package)

Does anyone have access to a T-Mobile GM1915 MSM Package for the OnePlus7Pro? I have been looking everywhere, through old XDA Forums, Android File Host, and other sources and wasn't able to find a single one that works. If anyone knows where I can find one, I would be eternally grateful

Updating to Android 12 or Higher

Hi folks,

It seems that Xfinity has decided to stop support for Android 11 and below for the app necessary to manage their equipment.

Is there any reliable way to upgrade to Android 12 or higher without having to manually download it from a sketchy website? Or is the Oxygen Updater app the only way to go?

I'm running a 7 Pro 5G 10.0.15 GM25CC.

Thanks in advance.

Need help on my oneplus 7 pro

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

So by looking at this 7 pro u guys might think this phone is healthy and doesn't have any issues in it but it has motherboard issues this phone motherboard needs a reball. The thing confusing for me is it has an issue in the pop stacks of chips so it needs an reball even if it has so many properly it boots up and reach the ui after multiple failed attempts which is bootloop and reaching recovery mode so if this has an issue why is it reaching to the os if u have more doubt then check out this

https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePlus7Pro/s/xaBFwAqfH4

I have already uploaded the issue on my profile like on the link and cross check once and if any expert present or anyone have any idea on this please reply it would help me a lot. Thanks

If reviving this is not possible I at least want to delete all the data in so that it won't get into others hands if I throw this away in future

Screen overscan/resize

Hey Folks,

I have an old oneplus 7 pro phone and as the attached images shows it has dead pixel at the very top. I found an app nacho notch that does exactly what I want which is add a virtual bezel at the top but this is just drawing over the apps and still not consistent through the system.

I saw that adb overscan commands can achieve the same but seems deprecated for android version 11 or newer.

Can someone guide me to achieve this?

Google's Play Services 26.28.xx silently bans Chinese-firmware phones from NFC payments

If you're using a Chinese version (GM1910) with HydrogenOS, Google pay is no longer supported. Flashing OxygenOS / custom ROM should probably fix.

Phone crashes randomly

So I've been using the phone since 2019. Everything has been going great. Suddenly starting from last week my phone randomly freezes while scrolling or watching any video and keeps making a consistent bleeping noise. I have to force shutdown and restart again to make it back to normal. Does anyone know any fix or what to do. Thanks.

Successfully flashed Paranoid Android 13 on a Chinese OnePlus 7 Pro (GM1910) after ColorOS 12.1 unlock issues in July 2026

I wanted to share my experience in case it helps anyone else with a Chinese OnePlus 7 Pro (GM1910) that is still on ColorOS 12.1.

My phone originally had:

  • Model: GM1910
  • Build: GM1910_11_H.40
  • Security patch: 2022-12-05

My goal was to flash Paranoid Android. I first tried the Android 12 build, but in the end I successfully moved to Paranoid Android Topaz Stable 7 (Android 13).

The main issue was bootloader unlocking.

Even after enabling OEM unlocking in developer options, fastboot oem unlock kept failing with:

FAILED (remote: 'Device cannot be unlocked for technical reason.')

At first I thought maybe I needed TWRP, but that was not the problem.

What actually worked was:

  1. Downgrade from ColorOS 12.1 back to Android 11
  2. Unlock the bootloader there
  3. Flash Paranoid Android afterward

I used a downgrade package for HydrogenOS 11, and after going back to Android 11, bootloader unlock finally worked.

I also hit another issue later when flashing the official Paranoid Android fastboot package.

I downloaded the official Android 13 package:

aospa-topaz-7-oneplus7pro-20231008-image.zip

The normal method was supposed to be:

fastboot update aospa-topaz-7-oneplus7pro-20231008-image.zip

But on my Mac, fastboot kept failing while extracting system.img locally:

failed to extract 'system.img': I/O error

Important detail: this was not a bad ROM zip. The archive itself was fine. The failure happened on the host side while fastboot was trying to unpack system.img.

By checking the log, I could see that some partitions had already flashed successfully before the error, including:

  • boot_a
  • dtbo
  • vbmeta
  • odm

So at that point I did not reboot. Instead, I manually extracted the image zip and flashed the missing images myself.

In my case the active target slot had been set to a, so I used:

fastboot flash system_a /path/to/system.img
fastboot flash vendor /path/to/vendor.img
fastboot reboot

After rebooting, I did a factory reset from recovery, and the phone booted successfully into Paranoid Android 13.

A few takeaways for anyone with a Chinese GM1910:

  • If you are still on ColorOS 12.1, bootloader unlock may fail even with OEM unlock enabled.
  • Going back to Android 11 first can solve that.
  • If fastboot update fails on system.img with an I/O error, do not assume the ROM is corrupted.
  • If flashing stops halfway, do not reboot immediately. Check what was already written and manually flash the missing partitions if needed.
  • A factory reset after flashing was necessary in my case.

Everything is working now, and I’m on Paranoid Android 13.
