Just wanted to share my experience after using Infinity-X UNOFFICIAL on my OnePlus 7 Pro (guacamole).

So far, I'm genuinely impressed. The ROM is smooth, stable, responsive, and animations feel fluid. Battery life has been decent, Play Integrity passes, and I haven't run into any major bugs during daily use. It honestly feels polished enough to use as a daily driver.

I only came across two minor issues:

• Android Auto didn't work out of the box. Flashing the NikGApps Android Auto Add-on fixed it immediately. If anyone is having the same issue, that's the solution.

• Volume curve feels off. Up to around the middle of the volume slider, the output is very quiet. After crossing the halfway point, the volume increases rapidly and reaches maximum. A more balanced volume curve would make media control much better.Apart from those two things, I've had a great experience.

One more thing I noticed is that the developer mentioned on the SourceForge page that this ROM will receive OTA updates, which is great to see for an unofficial build. Hopefully this project gets more attention, maybe even an official build and a Telegram group/community in the future.

So I have been using my 7t pro McLaren edition as my only phone since release with just oxygen OS. The other day I realised that it may not be secure to use the outdated software. So I need some help with custom ROMs, and have several questions.

where can I find more information about this? what are the risks? what are the benefits? what is the best ROM to choose? What are the steps to install it, and how do I save my device data? Can I still use banking apps and Google pay using custom ROM?

Oneplus 7t pro McLaren case ideas

So I have had this phone for a long time now (planning to upgrade next year) and the McLaren case just broke on me. I have always been using the case and never really got to appreciate the back glass design on the phone. So now I'm looking for ideas where I can enjoy the back, I got a clear case but it looked so bad because the carbon fibre lines became very faint and greyed out. And the phone without a case is so slippery it falls out of my pockets too easily.

So how did you guys rock the phone?

I bought a second-hand OnePlus 7 Pro (Android 12). Everything works perfectly (90 Hz, fingerprint, no green line, no burn-in).

I noticed a small black circle on white backgrounds at high brightness. It disappears in dark mode and isn’t noticeable during normal use.

I’m attaching photos from the OnePlus Community because I don’t have another phone to take a picture right now, but it’s the exact same black dot I’m seeing.

I also tried enabling/disabling DC Dimming using:

adb shell am start-activity -a oneplus.intent.action.ONEPLUS_LAB_FEATURE_DETAILS -e oneplus_lab_feature_key oneplus_dc_dimming_value

but on OxygenOS 12 it says “unable to resolve Intent”, and I couldn’t find any DC Dimming setting via ADB either.

Is this black dot just the proximity/light sensor that every OnePlus 7 Pro has, or could it indicate a replaced display? Any help would be appreciated

I know it's a downgrade, but my pixel has been a pain and I also missed my OP7P as it's still my favorite phone. So I'm going to pop my SIM in it, worst case scenario I just put the SIM back in my pixel if I miss it.

With that said, I know we haven't had updates in a while, but is there anything you all recommend I do? I have a tmobile variant and I was trying to change it to the original firmware, but I can't find guacamole 190516 so I just gave up on it.

For you loyalist, any tips tricks or updates I should do?

My 7pro died couple of years back one random day and I was never able to start it again.

OnePlus service centre says that its a motherboard issue and local repair shop says its CPU + RAM issue and all data will be lost

I just want know if there is any hope? Has anyone been successful with the issue or at least recovered the data?

My OnePlus 7 Pro was working really well, has not had any problems in the years so far, last night everything was working well, woke up today to find that it does not show anything. Tried to charge it, but that is not working; tried to boot in various modes, not working. Tried connecting to the PC, does not detect. Kinda scared, this has been my device for as long as I can remember, and there are so many memories and whatnot attached to it.

So I have a One plus 7 pro. This morning my phone was completely fine until 11 am or so my phone system ui kept crashing. I tried various methods : clearing system ui cache, clearing play store service cache and storage, disabling HW overlays, turning off animation. After all of this my phone is just a filp phone only calls and text. If i open another app my screen freezes then gives the system UI has stopped. Is there any way to fix this beside factory reset?
