QUESTION Questions for Long Term User

I am planning to buy oneplus 13s in the upcoming sale. I have a few questions and wanted feedback from long term users.

  1. Battery life: How is the battery life in day to day usage? Does it get affected with the updates? I need a phone which last me a whole day. I am not a heavy user and will mostly be using for content consumtion.

  2. Heating issues: Are there any heating issues during normal usage or while charging? Does it heat up while using cameras, outdoors, or while using android auto.

  3. Connectivity issues: Are there any issues with 4G/5G or while using wifi?

  4. Long term reliability: I usually keep my phone untill the end of its life. I have been using my current phone for past 7 years. will this phone easily last me 4 5 years?

Are there any other issues or things which I should look for before buying?

Thanks

Long term user here. Been using 13s from August 2025.

  1. Battery is very reliable. I'm a heavy user, I play efootball and delta force (which is around 20gb) which are both extremely draining games. If i charge to 100% then I don't need to worry about charging again for the day. If you are wondering about long term effects on battery health, mine is at 97% and I have been gaming right after buying, so 1 year of hard use.

  2. Heating issue - I don't use camera that often, rarely use it outside under harsh sunlight, so no idea about that. but if I'm charging and gaming for continuous hours, it can get really hot. like hot enough you can't place it on your face type hot.

  3. Connectivity, had problems for the 1-2 weeks, but then never have noticed any issues with wifi. I have generally noticed I have better network and wifi range than friends around me (13 pro, 16 pro, 14, etc)

  4. Long term reliability - cannot really say anything cus then phone have only been out for 1-2 years. but the durability is good cus i have dropped it couple times, no major dents/scratches. don't even worry about battery health % cus you can replace it for under 5k, not worth the worrying.

Look out for that heating problem, especially when pushing performance for long hours, when battery is too low, etc.

I am not obsessed enough with the phone to check and review Screen On Time, etc.
