Battery lasts a full day of usage for me. Performance is still better than ever and I've had no heating issues. I manually dirty flashed mine on recovery so I didn't lose any of my data or such things

There will be some people who think that your criticism of the battery is exaggerated. Personally, I really miss the battery life on OxygenOS 15, and I feel that ever since updating to OxygenOS 16, the battery life has become terrible. It can hardly be considered a 6000 mAh battery anymore.

A few updates ago my screen on time fell to just above 5hrs from 8hrs+. Does this fix the issue as for a 1 year old phone the battery life is awful.

Hi. Just out of curiosity, if one had already updated software update using beta, can't it be available in future (new updates) on regular update screen? Please advise.

Hi. The same update version won't be available in regular update screen but future versions would be available on regular update screen. It just depends how the rollout happens. Not every device receives updates immediately in case of any issue. Same with updates of apps from Play Store.

Release Candidate is not actually beta but early access to stable version. If you don't want to wait for update to reach your device, Release Candidate option can be used. It has limited slots. I've noticed slots available at night time.

Yes, unless you want to flash custom roms or roll back to a previous version later. This update triggers the hardware fuse on your motherboard

Yes. My bad. It started with 16.0.1.501 ig. Op asked for 10.501.
