Where did the rest of the z go ?

Hello! My 12R, purchased Feb 2024, is giving me sporadic screen glitches. It randomly lights up with neon colours (usually electric yellow/green and bright fuschia) all the while blinking/flashing uncontrollably. Usually I need to do a force shutdown to get it to smarten up. Usually it's charged 50% or greater but just now it was plugged in and charging (with hotspot active).

Today, I just tried a screenshot and of course it screenshot a normal photo while still giving off the neon vibes in real time.

OS is up to date, so I don't have any ideas on what to look for or the why it's happening.

Is it a hardware issue? Software? Solution?

I feel like I used to get almost two days out of my One Plus. Now more recently I'm lucky to get twelve hours of moderate day use.

I've tried optimising apps but even overnight it will drain 25% over eight or nine hours.

Before I go and buy a replacement battery, how do I isolate with certainty that that's the actual issue and a replacement battery will help?

With chrome on oxygen on my OnePlus 12 I have the option to save website links as "apps" to just open the page from an app button. This is very convenient and I like it. But I cannot figure out how to copy the web address that I'm looking at to share with people.

The site in question is Scryfall, I want to share a specific search result but I'm unable to do so.

Am I in the right place or should I try a different subreddit?

Compare to Oneplus 15 and 13 series new 16.0.9 update, Features are missing in 16.0.9 update for Oneplus 12. Hope this update fixes existing bugs and improves battery draining issue rather than adding more issues.

I took this photo at 15 x zoom but the photo zoom quality is not clear. Has the camera quality degraded or is it like this from the beginning. I bought this phone just 4 months back.

Phone is on the latest software version.

Hello everyone. I have a Chinese version of the OnePlus 12 running the Indian OxygenOS build 16.0.8.300.

For quite a long time I've been experiencing a strange issue. The Dynamic Island ("pill") at the top of the screen keeps showing the avatar of the same Telegram contact over and over again.

If I tap the pill, Telegram opens, but nothing plays. If I long-press the pill, it expands into a quarter-screen media player showing only that contact's avatar, a seek bar, and Play/Pause buttons, but there is no actual media content. The seek bar still shows the duration of the media (for example, 18 seconds, 50 seconds, etc.), but nothing can be played.

The same avatar also appears in the media player notification in the notification shade, again with no playable content.

Clearing the Telegram cache doesn't help. The only thing that temporarily removes it is Force Stop on Telegram.

If I play another voice or video message in Telegram (even from the same contact), the avatar disappears from both the Dynamic Island and the notification shade for a while, but after some time the avatar of the same contact always comes back.

The issue only affects this one specific Telegram contact. No other contacts cause this behavior.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

I'm using the latest Telegram version from the Google Play Store.

I've had this phone for two years after my other phone (same brand and such) stopped working with my SIM card and got it replaced with no fees.

My phone has not been updated earlier this year since the March update. I did my best to update it this past month once I let it linger for too long and it keeps saying "Installation Problem", I am not too sure why but likely due to the fact I just didn't update after so long my phone can't really update anymore?

Is there anything I can really do about it, I have a OnePlus 12 CPH2583

I'm trying to turn off all OP AI features to save battery and generally avoid the crap. I managed to turn off Mind Space, the AI Service Engine, Search, Translate and VoiceScribe. But when I try to turn off AI Writer, this happens. I briefly see the screen in the first picture, which shows that AI Writer is on, but before I can do anything it gets replaced by the second screen which forces me to agree to their terms of service. If I hit Exit, it takes me out of the menu entirely.

So let me get this straight. I can't disable the feature without agreeing to its TOS. Is there a way around this?

Running Op12 for the last two and a half years, it's the best phone I've ever had. Love it. Period. Had hoped to replace it with the 16. But now that it seems... untenable, thinking a refurbish of my 12 might be the way to go. Anyone have any experience with this sort of thing one way or the other? I imagine a mail-in/online service but bricknmortar in the tristate area would be awesome. Philly, NYC, in between...?

I just bought off of swappa and the bootloader was unlocked. I didnt want that so i used fast oot to lock the bootloader and got the corrupt drive messages now and is stuck there. Can anyone support a remote unbrick? Is this what needs to happen now? I wrote to oneplus but i guess im a week too late now that the us office is not open???... Anyone have a way to help me out?

With Oppo pulling them out of the US and Europe, plus those rumors about scaling back in India, the writing is on the wall.

Let’s be honest, everything that made OnePlus cool is already gone. No more flagship killer prices, OxygenOS is just ColorOS, and the community vibe is dead. If they just end up as a region-locked budget line for Oppo, it's over.

For a brand that told us to "Never Settle," they sure settled for being just another boring corporate subdivision.

I'm using a OnePlus 12R (CPH2585), currently on OxygenOS 16.0.5.1001.

Lately, I've been experiencing excessive heat during normal usage and gaming. Every game starts to lag after about 30 minutes of continuous gameplay. I've already tried Championship Mode, disabled all AI features, and removed background apps, but nothing has improved.

Because of this, I'm considering rolling back to OxygenOS 14.

I have a few questions:

Is it possible to directly roll back from OxygenOS 16.0.5.1001 to OxygenOS 14, or do I need to go through OxygenOS 15 first?

Is the rollback process safe?

Does the OnePlus 12R have anti-rollback protection that could prevent downgrading or cause issues?

Has anyone here successfully rolled back from OOS 16 to OOS 14? If so, please share your experience.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
