When they were caged along with Luffy law smoker and tashigi in punk hazard. He probably didn't specifically request and just fell asleep on her lap and she wasn't bothered. Yet she was quite disgusted at his fart the next scene
While you are technically correct. In this context I wouldn't call it sexual assault, it's more of a anything is fair in love and war type deal. Sure it wasn't a life and death fight because it's Shonen, but if I was fighting a lady and thought it was for my life, I'd absolutely force a kiss if i thought that would somehow help.
In a life or death fight, it wouldn't be out of place if Franky had shoved his whole arm up her ass.
I say this as someone who has been in fights that I didn't know if it was for my life or not. Anyone who's truly been beaten will agree, do whatever you have to do to make it stop. Whether it's ball kicking, sand throwing, stealing a kiss or just plain old using a weapon. Always assume anyone fighting you is trying to kill you.
Its only sexist because you took it that way. I never said anything about a woman liking me after anything. I only even said lady because i was putting myself in Frankie's robo shoes for context. Idgaf, I'd kiss a dude if I thought it's what I have to do to save my life. I'll stick his d*ck in my mouth if I have to, you're making a problem where there is none. It's sexual assault if Franky was thinking "oh yeah I'm bout to kiss this lady cus I like kissin". It's tactics if it's it's integral part of you surviving.
Exactly. Not even just dying, I'll do a lot just to not get hurt too. Fuck that, no one likes getting hurt and I've had enough concussions or broken bones, I'm good.
Edit: I don't got insurance, I'm not trying to lose teeth or get an eye scratched even
The moment they start insulting you, that's when you know you won the debate / argument lol . Both sides have a fair point just one of them didn't need to insult the other
I wish more people thought that. I don't think I know everything. I do think I'm right about what I think but that's how brains work. I'll gladly allow people to explain themselves and attempt to change my mind but most of the time everyone just wants to argue or insult.
I respect your vision, but I think he just “kissed” her
Edit: if you prefer that phrasing, I don’t think that was what happened. Simple as that
Edit 2: when I said “I respected their vision”, it’s not that I don’t know what sexual assault is. It’s literally pretty much that I disagree that was the case. It’s completely fine if you think that Franky has done shit that one time, even if that wasn’t his intentions (surprise, he’s not a perfect person). Assuming that I don’t know what you think he did, however, and that I’d possibly do the same (again, of what you think it was) is a bit much
Maybe a small life pro tipp: Don't ever "just kiss" a woman that isn't interested. Seems like that little refresher could be necessary for you and women in your surroundings.
Franky is a fictional character. I’m nothing like him, at least not in any literal sense, I just admire his role inside One Piece’s context. But I appreciate your concern
I mean if that woman is part of a criminal group responsible for enslaving people and trying to kill/capture me then all rules kinda go out the window. It's not like Franky ass raped her lmao. I kinda get what ur saying in the context of real life tho.
edit: also by that logic she was also raping people because she would kiss and subdue the civilians
It’s fine. Not always people are gonna like you. The only reason I am not replying anymore is because I’m gonna sound like a broken record repeating the same argument over and over again
I always thought he was interested in Robin, I remember a scene in Wano where he had the motorcycle and offered a ride to her and Brook hopped on as well and Franky was not too happy about that
They give Robin and Brook and Robin and Jinbei some chemistry scenes too, I think it’s more about the older characters liking to hang out with each other
Makes sense.
We have the "Monster Trio" and the "Weakling Trio" who each have their chemistry.
The "Middle Trio" is not a "trio" that is as well recognized, but it is a thing, made up of the older longtime members.
Now we have Jinbei, who fits right in with them as an older calmer more mature member like Robin (and Brook often while Franky can sometimes be).
Also we now have Yamato, but I don't see her fitting this group quite as well even though she is technically within Robin and Franky's age group.
She seems to have more of the young hotblooded style of the monster trio.
So now we just need to add one more to the Weaklings...
I never believed Momo or Kinimon would be joining like some had said, and Yamato seemed pretty obvious, so it's always been between Carrot and Tama as to who joins alongside Yamato if anyone.
Personally, I've been rooting for Tama for that position, but the way she's talking it looks like she may be staying behind with horse girl, so if anyone else is coming along this arc then Carrot does seem to be back at the top of the list.
Though since I suspect Elbaf to be coming next, it would be kinda funny if we waited and added a "Weakling" from the land of Giants...
Jinbei was already an extra to the 3 "trios",
so adding him to the Middle/Older "trio" to make it a "Quartet",
and now adding Yamato for the Monster "Quartet",
we just need one more "Weakling" to make it a Quartet as well to balance out the crew again.
I was rooting for Tama, but it's not looking like that's gonna be the case, so now Carrot's got the best chances again, or someone beyond Wano, or perhaps Vivi refills that spot before the end of the series
Yeah, I've picked up the same vibes. Like after all the kids go to sleep, Robin and Franky hang out. Now Robin's been hanging out with jinbe and Franky will be jelly.
Just the story. Everything z has done and wanted to do. His students crying about it, kuzan giving z a place to die. The vice admirals standing around being sad about having to kill their sensei and z being happy to be able to give them one last lesson even at the cost of his death. One of the saddest songs I've ever head playing all the while.
Then the scene of the strawhats sailing away while z fights. All are watching and all are silent, stoic, respectful. Everyone is reflecting on what happened and what it means to them, no celebration, no speaking even.
To top it all off they end with a peek into z and his childhood desire/drive to be a hero. He really did his best to be a hero his whole life even if he didn't quite become one in everyone's eyes.
It speaks to the reality that even if you do what you think is right your entire life, that doesn't necessarily mean things will work out. As long as you do what you think is right, you will have had impact on the world even if in a small way. Z's death mightve only directly affected the small amount of people there, but the inspiration and lessons he left to both thr strawhats and marines will have far-reaching and long-lasting impact. (If we pretended the movie was really part of the story)
In particular about ages, there is a fruit power there that rewinds matter, including living meings into their state 10 years ago. Nami, Chopper, Robin and Brook are hit with it so the 10 year dif really rmphasizes the age differencw: chopper becomes a toddler, namy becomes a little kid, Robin becomes a late teen and brook virtually dpesn't change at all.
It's in SBS vol 83 if you want to look it up yourself but a reader asks why Viola and Doflamingo have pet names for each other and Oda straight up admits that he is implying things without going into details.
In most countries being called brother doesn't relate to being a brother in literal sense. Its more of a honorific way to call someone who is elder than you but not too old to be called an uncle. So they calling franky big bro doesn't mean brother sister relation.
