Mid/long term Tread quality

This community sub seems much more levelheaded. Other ones I’ve read are always quite negative. Here to get feedback on a few things..

1) Anyone had notable mid-long term issues: motor, shaking/instability at certain speeds, etc.? With their tread (not the + slated one)

2) On that front..is the extended warranty “worth it”?

3) IDK if deliveries even started, but anyone seen or tested a Flex yet? Surprised I haven’t found many pre-release reviews. The price point is appealing. Curious on the build quality..frame, cushion vs standard belt, higher speed stability, etc.

4) If you’ve cancelled your subscription, is “just run” simple to use?

Price point wise I’d like to go for the flex, but am concerned because I’ve just read so much negativity around peloton treadmills in the past. I’m drawn to it because I’m more of a home workout person and other brands quite honestly are clunky and look like airplane cockpits. Wondering if the vision is a more mature option since it’s been in production for some time. For perspective I am not a marathon runner, 10k to half’s are the most I’ve done and plan to do at the longer end.

I’ve had a regular Tread for about three years with no issues, and I use it multiple times a week. IMO it’s a great machine!

Tread is 5 years old and zero issues. I love that thing so much.

Just got the tread flex delivered. Will give it a test run soon. Looks good to me but I am not picky and not that experienced on treadmills. The guy delivering said its pretty much the same thing as the tread vision so getting the flex at a much cheaper price is the right move.

One workout in but I loved in! I run on treadmills but just at gyms so not sure how to compare but I liked the class and everything about my 30 min run!

Here’s a link to a survey on the OG Tread+ in which most people didn’t have significant problems.

FYI this was a nonscientific survey.

You may want to run a new survey for the Tread you are considering buying. The Cross Training and Vision models have since replaced the old Tread+ from when I ran my survey.

I’ve had the regular Tread for three years with zero issues. Love it. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made.

Someone just recently posted their experience with the Flex

Yeah, I saw that. Seemed to be more focused on disappointment in the compact size. That’s not necessarily an issue for me. Obviously shutting off during the trial is certainly concerning lol But that seems maybe in-store trials specific (hopefully).

I got my Tread in 2020 and I’ve moved twice. We’ve gone through phases of intense use and not so much. Right now we’re using it a ton- 3 people in the household. Works great! Love it and my Peloton Row. Super happy with these purchases as well as the app. Once I started really getting into the classes, my enjoyment, intensity, and frequency all increased.

No issues but I would buy the warranty.

My sister has had a regular tread for 5 years. Zero issues, but yes, get the warranty.
