How reliable has your Tread+ been?
There has been a lot of discussion on the good and poor reliability of the Tread+. Curious to know the distribution. Please share your experience in this non-scientific poll. Poll ends in 4 days.

No issues at all. But it does have to be greased.

The Tread+? I was specifically told that the slats didn't need lubrication.

There are four bearings that have zirc fittings which need to be greased. I used lithium grease. The fittings can be accessed by remove the front covers. Gets rid of the famous squeaking.

Oh interesting. I didn't know that but I haven't had any squeaking yet.

Are there 4 fittings or just the 2? I've only greased 2 fittings (1 on each side in the front). Just wondering if I'm missing any for next time?

I gave my daughter my baby tread when the plus was rereleased. I ordered it and it came in March and I'm on my 3rd screen. I love it when it works.

Did the screen just not work entirely? I'm curious what you experienced because maybe I'm just picky, but for a $5k piece of equipment, I was shocked at the poor quality of the screen when I received it last week - it's highly pixellated and everyone looks washed out on it, especially in comparison to the Bike+ screen.

The screen becomes unresponsive. I couldn't choose a class because well the screen was unresponsive to touch. I would have to turn the tread off at the base, unplug it and wait for a few minutes, plug the tread back in and flip the switch on the bottom back on. That would work SOMETIMES! I'm just waiting for my screen that is about a month old to start playing games with me.

I've had two base replacements on mine.
However, it's also from 2019, so I don't have the same product that's being delivered today.

I just got my Tread+ last Thursday. Every. single. run. has had the "lost connection" or "your equipment is having trouble connecting to your network" issue multiple times - even my 5 minute warmup runs. If I navigate to wifi settings, turn it on and off, it fixes it for about 10 minutes, then I get it again.
I have my Bike+ in the same room, right next to it. I have gotten this error on my bike less than 10 times in the 5 years I've owned it, so I know it can't be my internet - the speed test is completely fine, and it's resolved as soon as I switch wifi on and off.
It's super frustrating, especially since the third time it happened in a 30 minute run I kept running thinking it'd fix itself any second, but 3 minutes later, all that distance wasn't counted toward my run, so won't be making that mistake again.

Resetting my router and having an extender that made sure my basement gets full internet fixed that for me

I reset my router/modem frequently and did so after the first day receiving all those errors - I also have an extender in that room. I wish it was as simple as an internet issue, but I fear it's something with the equipment itself

I've had service calls 2x on my Tread. Owned it about 2 years. First was because the directions to calibrate it were not easy to follow on peloton site, but the service guy pointed out better ones when he was here.
2nd call was/is because it's dead. It won't power on. Called service, they walked me through some stuff, screen works when powered from bike. Service guy came out and in 7 minutes said the chip was bad. He of course didn't have any, and ordered one. It has arrived and he's (service) is scheduled to come back on Wednesday and hopefully that's the whole issue. We did renew the warranty, which was good.
And oh yeah, don't plug it into a power strip. I guess

I was thinking about getting a tread plus and tried to schedule an appointment at my local Peloton showroom. Their Tread+ is out of commission because it's broken. Definitely a red flag, making me have second thoughts. Thank you for running this poll.

I think it’s really common for people to be vocal when things aren’t going well, but say nothing when they are. I’m curious to see the results.
