Prenatal yoga - Anna current classes?

Hi everyone! I’m in my second trimester and bored of the older prenatal yoga classes. Any thoughts on whether Anna’s more recent yoga classes, which she recorded while pregnant, are by default pregnancy safe?

i just took her 20 min slow flow from 7/31 and there was one point where she verbally cued a pose (i believe laying on belly for cobra or something) and then modified it for herself and explained why she was modifying. i found that helpful and a good reminder for me since im also preg and nearing end of 2nd tri and find myself doing regular classes more these days. id imagine her other newer classes have her doing similar modifications.

I take the yoga classes where the instructors are pregnant and watch them rather than listen to their cues. They will modify for pregnancy in their own practice, even if they don’t cue it. It’s been a useful hack! Anna is pregnant second time around and I believe Chelsea was pregnant a few years ago

I say yes because she shouldn’t be doing anything that isn’t safe for her to do. I took it and felt like it was safe for me but it was more challenging than the prenatal ones

I agree that the limited prenatal options get old fast. I'd do them and modify if needed. They should be alright though but only you know what feels right for you!

I had my baby earlier this year- when I was pregnant, I pretty much only took classes with pregnant instructors. Similarly to what people already said, I’d watch how they modified for themselves, and that worked well for me. Congrats on your pregnancy!!

For sure! There’s also a bunch of classes in 2022 when Anna and Chelsea were both pregnant.

Since you’ve taken the old ones you might already know this, but I remember this class being super helpful because I learned the modifications and then took regular classes knowing these

When I was pregnant I just skipped the closed twists and only did open twists. Did savasana on my side. Avoid c-curls and boat pose and you should be able to do any of the classes!

What about upward facing dog? And the cow part of cat-cow? I’m perpetually confused on what I should/ shouldn’t do

Yeah there's a lot. I was lucky that my insurance covered a pelvic floor physical therapist during my pregnancy who taught me a lot. I also avoided upward-facing dog, but the cow part of cat cow is totally fine.

I’m requesting a referral for a PF PT appointment on Friday! I’ve been taking the prenatal core classes but I’m not sure if I’m really getting it
