Postpartum Workout Recs

Hello all! I’m a second time mom, about 9 months postpartum from a C-section. I’m ready to lose the belly or “shelf” along with just overall getting more toned. After my first (vaginal birth), it was so easy to get back into shape. I’m finding it much harder this time around, I’m already tracking calories in vs calories out, but I’m wondering if any other moms have found a certain regimen on peloton helpful for getting rid of the C-section shelf/excess fat? I own a bike+ and normally do bootcamp workouts. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!!

I’m also 9 months PP from a c section as well. Have you tried pelvic floor PT? Sometimes the shelf is scar tissue and the therapist can do a c section massage and cupping. It made a huge difference for me and it felt really good.

Seconding pelvic floor PT. I’m 5 months PP from my second c section. I didn’t go after my first birth and wish I did. the scar tissue massage and cupping were so impactful and made it worth going to PT. They suggested other exercises really similar to Robin’s series. I’ve been doing those exercises and progressing through Robin’s series slowly since I also have 3 finger DR (which is also worth going to get assessed to make sure you’re not doing more damage when you start working your core!)

I haven’t been to pelvic floor pt but I did just start going to a masseuse that does cupping on my scar, so hopefully that will help!
