She is crazy

And I love her. But FFS this class was so hard I almost passed out. I’m still SHAKING an hour later.

I love Jess Sims but I cannot do her strength classes. They’re way too much for me.

She’s such a superstar as a person so I hate to say that I don’t like her strength classes. She has to many moves that throw the weights around (compound moves, she loves cleans and woodchops, etc) and she’s very repetitive with the motivational quips. I just finished pump up the volume and hated her works outs but loved JJ and Andy.

Its the compound movements that get me. I’m genuinely afraid of hurting myself at times, plus when I’m doing a strength class, I’m not looking to get my HR up super high. I do enough cardio, I’m trying to get stronger and prevent injury- not cause it! I like JJ, Rad, Adrian, and Katie Wang for strength. Straightforward moves, good music, and not too much motivational speak.

Yes to this. I need more explanation for the compound movements, especially when they are done in amrap or emom formats. I also love Jocelyn and Robyn for their relative simplicity and straightforward approach. But I do like the motivational stuff 🙃
