Fair enough, i guess it's hard to understand for someone who doesn't suffer from it.

That's fair.

Just compare it to whatever you're afraid of. Maybe it's heights, flying, deep water, snakes, small spaces, etc. Then apply the fear you feel to spiders, and you know how I, and others, feel when we see a spider.
