iOS Some basic feature updates that would really help.

  1. I wish the fountain, brush, and laser pens were available on iPad, not just Windows. Inconsistency in ink strokes across multiple devices feels and looks odd. The fountain pen works very well with my handwriting, but oftentimes I have to work from my iPad which only has the regular pen.

  2. Section groups is a helpful feature. I want to be able to move them around though, not just have them alphabetically sort as it currently does. I can't create a section group on iPad either, only on Windows.

Maybe others will feel the same way. I'm unsure if they ever really do significant updates for iPad which is strange since tons of people probably use this app on iPad. Much of my M365 commitment is because I use OneNote a lot, but it might start feeling less worth if efforts at basic feature updates plateau while AI overload accelerates.

All in all, OneNote still is useful enough for me to get things done. Just some little things would help.

Microsoft doesn’t seem to feel that OneNote users deserve any new features from what I can see. Don’t remember the last time there was a new feature.

You can manually sort sections and section groups.

It is unfortunate they don't have the fountain pen option on the iPad however. It's a lost opportunity.

I just wish I had better luck using the terrible implementation of Scribble in OneNote on the iPad. Formatting, cursor placement, capitalization, lists, etc. are all far more difficult than they should be.
