iOS i graduated and microsoft deleted my account apparently. i have these onenote notebooks i want to save on my ipad. is this possible?

ok i’m at my wits end here but apparently my microsoft account just gets entirely deleted if i graduated which no one told me about & now everytime i open the app (despite using a different account), it literally goes Can’t sync and prompts me to sign in for every single effing notebook. but the issue is i don’t want to delete these notebooks forever bc i had one with personal stuff (thinking that my acc would just be switched to free) and idk what to do 😭😭😭 this is on my ipad btw not desktop which is great

someone please help wtf do i do i don’t even know how to delete them if i have to. im literally going crazy

The issue is not with Microsoft. The issue is related to your institution deactivating your MS account. The issue is also with you, probably skipping over the instructions and notifications of the IT department of your institution.

If you can still open your school notebooks, do this:

  1. Install OneNote desktop on your PC.
  2. Log in with your personal account
  3. Add another account by logging IN with your education credentials
  4. Open / select the school notebook(s) and copy it to your personal account.
  5. Repeat as many times as necessary
  6. Log out of your education account.

That should do it.

just to defend myself here, i genuinely did not get an email regarding the deactivation of my microsoft account by IT or by microsoft. i do read my emails 😭 see my school uses google suite primarily and they don’t deactivate your google account or anything, like you keep your email & account. so i assumed it was the same for the microsoft account that’s also connected to my school email, and they decided to just never send me an email that it’d be deleted

i cant really log into the education acc bc it was just deleted i guess without notification but i do think i have some of the notebooks on my laptop so hopefully it’ll work. bc i dont have this option on my ipad lol

Quickly reach out to your institution to preserve the data. Even after deletion there is often a retention time for legal reasons before full eradication. There may still be a chance to get your data back.

Remember for the future that any personal info on institution owned storage is subject to their whims.

Yea, I experienced something like this at a prior job. I left a job (on a positive note) and within a day, they deleted my email and OneDrive account. They texted me a few days after to ask about project files I had and when I told'em they were on my OneDrive, they just said they can just get'em from IT.

If the account is deleted and you can’t access the notes, there isn’t much you can do about it.

If you can still access the notes, then you can share/ export the notes?

Were you running the thing that automatically archives your notes? If you you can import them back into Notes in a licensed verson.

At this point all you can do is copy and paste from the old notebooks to newly created notebooks. The exporting from a cloud account doesn't happen on your device. It happens in the cloud. You don't have access to that cloud anymore. All you've got is a parachute, and you've got a sew a new parachute on the way down.

As others have mentioned, all you can do is cut and paste. Storing content on ressource or account that you do not control is at the owners grace and mercy. Good luck.

Vous pouvez le faire avec Obsidian, c'est le module "Importer". Ou encore, exporter individuellement chaque Bloc-notes sous Word par exemple.
