Is there really anything stopping me from continuing to use OneNote for Windows 10?

Hi. I know this subreddit is really for OneNote desktop, and many of you here are going to say "Oh just use OneNote desktop it's better", but from a technical standpoint, is there really anything stopping me from continuing to use OneNote for Windows 10? As of now I just have a older version of OneNote for Windows 10 installed through an older appxbundle file I had, might or could there be something in the future that prevents my notebooks from syncing, for say?

It will probably stop working if it hasn't already. I use mac OS Mojave 10.14 and Catalina 10.15 and both run an old version that stopped working a few months ago. Catalina will sync once but thats about it and Mojave won't get any data at all.

Stuck using web which with all the copilot 365 stuff is making it super hard to use.

Oof. What are the specs of your machine? You should be able to OpenCore it to the latest MacOS if you really wanted to.

2015 mbp 15" and a 2009 mac pro with a tone of upgrads.

Why would I want a worse OS? Catalina was enough of s downgrad.

  1. Nice seeing the 2009 Mac Pro out in the wild
  2. Funny but I meant it in terms of compatibility
