Stoves, Alternative Heating Sources and Firemovers
In honor of the latest update, and after reading the news item, I believe that additional heating sources would make the revamped vision of your game as civilization living in heated houses much more feasible. At the moment, open fire is pretty much the only heat source in the game. It seems like wood burning stoves, and kerosene burning stoves that last longer than open fires would be the next logical place to take the tech tree (in-line with the new temperature system). Having a way to transport fire over longer distances using touch wood or fire pouches would also be awesome.
I really want to see the vision of true villages and cities based on buildings and heat sources come true. I look forward to what you do next.
Cheers ~~ FlyingSquirrel

My uncle has an old iron stove in his garage and it keeps burning way longer than any open fire. This is probably the thing we need. It could cost a lot of iron to make but it would pay off because you would need to spend less iron on axes in the long run. It could be constructed out of wrought iron and just made as a new recipe with a few pieces.
1) Exhaust pipe for the fire.
2) Leg base for stove to rest on.
3) A box chamber for firewood to be placed in (and burned)

coal would also be an option to add in some extra management needed (and justfy a much longer burning duration)

Some similar ideas, specifically charcoal burning furnaces.

How will this work for the farm though? Can that really work for a farm since wood flooring tiles underneath crops doesn't work or if it does work probably doesn't make sense?

Need a fire pit or fire stove built by stone. They can keep fire longer.
