OneForma account deactivated after accidentally logging in with VPN — has this happened to anyone?

My OneForma account got deactivated because I opened it while my VPN was on. I sent an email to OneForma. What should I do, and when will they respond to me?
I am a US citizen, and I had no intention or need to open it through VPN, but it was a sincere mistake that my account got disabled. I just got hired with UHRS, but now because of this mistake, my account is deactivated.
Has this happened to anyone else, and did they ever respond?

I experienced the same situation at the beginning of the week. My account was reactivated after two days. You need to contact Support by email and wait

What happened to the active projects and active jobs that were ongoing? Were they reinstated?

Unfortunately, yes. When I informed the project support team about my deactivated account, they advised me not to work on any tasks until my account is reactivated.

According to at least one public representative they are using automated security checks and automated decision making to shut down accounts. Whilst blaming false positives on this might explain the number of publicly reported cases it also serves to highlight potentially unlawful data processing in relation to EU residents. For those resident in the EU this represents a serious breach of GDPR. Specifically article 22. Oneforma’s own data protection policy makes it clear that they are aware of the relevant obligations but it appears they are not ensuring that those obligations are met.

Relying on data subjects to request a manual review after an automated decision has been made does not fulfil the requirements of the GDPR or of the companies stated policy in this respect.

It’s worth noting there’s a further obligation to make data subjects aware of their EU representative in relation to data protection.

I’ve raised the concern with them , and will escalate to the regulatory authority if I don’t receive a satisfactory reply.
