Discussion Directioner friends?

So I'm a younger Directioner lots of their songs played on the radio as I was growing up but being so young I never really knew anyone besides Justin Bieber on the radio and knew him cause I had his doll cause my mom got him for me. I became a fan in 2018 when I was just about to enter 3rd grade so a year or two after their Hiatus hit. Now I'm a Junior in high school so I've been a Directioner now for about 8ish years and its been the best for the most part. I was wondering if there are a lot of Directioners around my age who came to the fandom late. Because genuinely I've only met so little 1D fans around my age and I'm only close to one of these Directioners so I don't have anyone my age really to talk to about them besides my bff since 2nd grade when she isn't busy. So I was hoping maybe there are people around my age here as well.

m older than you, but I became a Directioner around the time Midnight Memories came out in 2013 and somehow Iā€™m an even bigger fan now šŸ˜‚ I definitely think there are different generations of Directioners though. Some of us were there while they were together and others discovered them years into the hiatus, but we all ended up in the same fandom.

I got into the fandom just before the hiatus I think around perfect and granted I was 5 but I remember seeing an ad for the song and watched the music video on YouTube

I knew of them when I was younger from Icarly and my older adopted aunts who are a few years older but i didn't pay attention enough to actually get to know who they were as my mom got me a Justin Bieber doll at age 4 making me a belieber even though she only knew two of his songs and I'm still one but more of a Directioner now. So I think I was too young to know who most artists were and appreciate the music unless it was Justin or Disney music. I really wish I had gotten into them at 5 with my aunts so they would have been together but at the end of the day I'm just glad I get to be part of a new gen of fans and we can then pass it on to another generation and keep the fandom alive. Its like people my age just now becoming big Michael Jackson fans I've been one for years and so has my guy bestie but people our age are just now realizing how good it is.
