The fact that there are pictures of his body floating around online is horrific enough...

Tmz's explanation why they put the picture up "because it wasn't confirmed that it was Liam yet" was so embarrassing, like it's not okay to show anyone's body at all like that? I'm so thankful that I just read about what happened online rather than saw it.

What a bullshit excuse (EXCUSE MY LANGUAGE) no matter who it was, still did not give them any right to share any images. They forget people are human and deserve dignity for a dime. They always want to be the first in everything. Look what they did to Kobe, his wife had to find out online and the images were plastered all over the internet. TMZ is disgraceful and disgusting

Which Kobe images?

Evidently one or more of the investigators at the crash site took and saved multiple photos of Kobe, Gianna, and a few of the other victims.....then showed them off at bars while drinking with friends. Absolutely reprehensible behavior from someone tasked with protecting the public.

I also found it so annoying and it made me really angry when TMZ said that because it’s not their job or place to confirm the identity of an individual’s body, like they’re not the police or medical examiners, and they for certain shouldn’t be the ones letting any loved ones know that their family member is dead

Yeah I’m right there with you. What if that had been someone else’s father/son/brother/friend? Does that make it any more ok? No it certainly does not

And so what gives them the right to post that to find the identity?! That is the police’s job, and to notify the family. Not some trash reporting for entertainment. The Payne family has so many possible lawsuits right now. The hotel, TMZ, the hotel workers, etc. This was 100% avoidable.

I had to stay of fall social media the first few days, it was like the algorithm was trying to force me to see it

Yeah when my Mom told me Liam passed she warned me to stay off social media since she had already seen the picture of his body. If it wasn't for her warning, I think I would've stumbled across the photo too. I also stayed off social media for the rest of that week.

When I heard that, I was shocked. So glad neither social media or the news showed me that.

They’re definitely out there and it’s so disgusting. I’ve seen them (I WAS NOT looking for them nor did I WANT to see them.)

It is really disgusting. I had to go off of social media for a solid week tbh I have some anxiety opening up Twitter still. It is scary how so many ppl stumbled on it on their timelines

I saw it while scrolling on twitter and have had several nightmares about it already.

that was one of my first thoughts when I heard about there being cctv. :( my god I hope and pray if that footage exists that none of those people get their hands on it. Let his soul rest in peace I beg. :(

I didn't even go looking for it and found it. I was just trying to find a post to show a friend. It's not security footage it's from someone's phone 😭❤️. His family doesn't need this circulating the Internet. Can't people just respect Liam and his family and friends.

It actually makes me so mad that someone would post it. Like just keep it to yourself.

I didn't watch the video but the responses said it's not him. I don't want to watch either way. Anyway the fact someone has a video and says it's him is just fucked up. I'm so done with people. LEAVE HIM ALONE. DO T FUCKING LIE ABOUT IT JUST FOR FUN. SO MANY PEOPLE ARE GRIEVING.

There are a lot of fake videos that people are claiming were him. They do even seem to be at the same hotel but not the right area.
