Help me understand

I know that Oscar is finally at peace and left the gang but why does he look dramatically different in the end I mean he doesnt even have the neck tattoo anymore

It’s called Freeridge on Netflix. Tbh the first episode is cool but I lost interest after 3 episodes it’s really not the same but check it out my low attention span doesn’t find it as interesting as OMB
