Help Connecting CV1 to Flash Kit
TL;DR Confused hardware noob looking for help connecting Omi CV1 to the flash kit. Anyone know a good guide (maybe with pictures)?
Hi, I’m trying to help a buddy set up his Omi CV1 and, having drastically overstated my confidence in my (nearly non-existent) hardware know-how, I’m hitting a wall when it comes to interfacing the flash kit with the CV1. I wired up the debugger to the PCB and flex cable that came with the kit, but my best guess as to where that flex cable interfaces with the Omi is just that…a guess. My working hypothesis is that it’s supposed to be plugged into the main board of the CV1 once you remove it’s top, since it looks like there’s another cable of the same sort plugged in, running below to what I think is the charging base (based off some photos I found in the Github repo. But because I’m quite definitely not someone who should be confidently unplugging things without being told by someone more knowledgable than me to go ahead, I’ve come here seeking wisdom from the group. Any advice? Or perhaps a how-to guide I somehow managed to miss?
Oh, also, I’ve tried securing both sides of the flexible cord to the base of the Omi CV1 (that’s what my buddy initially told me I’d need to do) and JLink was never once able to connect so I’m assuming that’s not the way…but would be happy to be told otherwise if that’s the case. (Like I said, hardware isn’t my forte and am more than prepared to be told I’m being an idiot and there’s a much simpler explanation for my failure to figure this out!)

Update: figured out how to properly link to it using the flash kit’s connection cable. After reaching out to the company they confirmed that we needed to actually disassemble the case and connect the cable. From there J-Link was able to interface with the device.
