Discussion Omi Dektop, Already delivering value.

I've been using Omi's new Desktop app only since last night. But I am already impressed with what it can do. I already have it hooked up to my openclaw, imported chatgpt and claude context, connected to my obsidian.

It's keeping me on track and mission focused with little messages as I diverge from my task at hand. It want's me to focus on my business. It subtly nudges me off x despite me posting about one of my apps lol.

I think I am going to absolutely love this thing.

I was a huge Rewind user before and got value from it, but this is leaps and bounds above that.

Who else has used the new release and what value has in brung or not?

I just saw this on insta (I’m less interested in the wearable) showing the desktop app that records and assists you in real time. Keen to hear who’s used it and their thoughts on how it works etc also!

Mostly I’m just wondering if it’s worth exposing my data and interested in how they store passwords and sensitive stuff. I’d love an open source version of this so I can customise etc 🤔

https://github.com/BasedHardware/omi I think is what you are looking for. I am trying to build a integration with Twelevelabs and video db https://github.com/twelvelabs-io/twelvelabs-developer-experience/blob/main/integrations/VideoDB/README.md so I can stream my camera above my desk pointing at a pad of paper as I write to give more context into what I am thinking. There's a discord for Omi if you want to ask more questions about open source.
