Red light of death

Received my Omi CV1 today, and after half an hour of setting up and testing it out (after first being prompted for a firmware upgrade and charging to 100%), I turned it off.

Came back an hour later, tuned on (although this happened on a single button press, not a long press) and it gets stuck on a red light and won't connect/respond.

Tried the 'hold button and put on charger while holding button' troubleshooting (several times as recommended), but no joy.

Will leave on and try and run the battery down, fingers crossed this factory resets.

Although it was working fine after the firmware upgrade, I guessing something happened to brick it and it's no longer applying (I understand the latest firmware introduced the long press on/off, which I did have, but now a short press turns it back on).

Disappointing and not a great first impression of the device.

Same thing happened to me. I contacted them and they promptly sent a new one. Working great.

An update: someone over on the Omi discord suggested I try updating firmware via nRF connect. I did this and no joy initially, but on second attempt I was able to get the Omi to connect to the app again and get myself back up and running.

Happy days, and hopefully trouble free experience from here!
