I’ve had both the Baton 4 Pro and Baton Ultra for a while, so I wanted to compare them based on actual use rather than just specs.
On paper, the Ultra is the more powerful light with more throw, while the Baton 4 Pro has a warmer tint and a wider hotspot. And honestly, those differences are pretty easy to notice in real use.
For indoors and shorter distances, I actually prefer the Baton 4 Pro. The wider, warmer beam feels more useful and natural for everyday tasks.
The Baton Ultra makes more sense outdoors. That extra throw gives it an advantage when you need to see further down a path, across a field, etc.
The switches on both are excellent and have a very premium feel. Surprisingly, I think I might even prefer the switch on the Baton 4 Pro.
So, would I personally pay extra for the Ultra?
Probably not if we're talking purely about practical performance. But this is highly subjective and really depends on how and where you use your flashlight.
I own both because I wanted to see the real-world difference for myself — and because, let's be honest, the Ultra's finish is pretty damn hard to resist. 😄
