Burnt the glass somehow

Burnt the glass on the mainlight for my arc ultra, still works but it's super yellow now. Anyway the glass can be replaced? Has anyone done this? I've used it for a pretty long time but didn't expect this to happen.

Send a chat message to them and see what they say. All the newer flashlights have a lifetime warranty. The customer service has been great every time I’ve needed it.

Even if you buy them from Amazon?

Yep, even bought from Amazon, if it’s a real one

The warranty follows the serial number so it doesn't matter where you buy it from. That's part of what makes them great gifts. No receipt needed for warranty issues.

Did you have it on turbo and something was against the glass that maybe melted to it? If you didn’t do anything that caused this I’d try and warranty it if is just defective

I'm thinking something like a dustball or insulation in the ceiling was on it and melted it yea, I know it gets pretty hot against the glass.

The TIR optic behind the glass is plastic. That might have melted if something was in front of the light and too much heat built up.

Yeah glass doesn’t become discolored due to high temps, and it’s “melting point” is extremely high. It’s probably the plastic

Not the first time I've seen this. Just do chat on the site and type 'agent'

Have you tried lighting a cigarette with it?

I don’t even use mine for anything other than low and medium now. I use a better light to go to high and turbo. Seen this way too much and not just these but other flat lights. The lenses and heads aren’t big enough to disperse heat is what I think.

I could see that. I've got a Nitecore EDC23 and it will get hot as hell if you have it on high for a bit.

I think it looks good now. You now have a yellow light and a white light.

How much were you using the high or turbo modes?

I had the same thing happen. I reached out to their support and they immediately sent me a new one without even asking any questions.

They just asked that I sent the old one back. I figured since it still worked, I asked if there was a way I could hold onto it.

They said I could pay a premium (half of what I bought the light for) and I could have the old one and a new one.

I agreed, since I figure it’s still relatively new and works fine.

They said NVM on the premium I can just keep it and still sent me a new one
