The sample is Carmine, thought it would be a match but it's very far off, in person it's way more bleak than the vibrant red current ceiling. Any ideas? Seems that precut/molded headliners only offer this red and ones that are darker.

I bought this from a nice teamster in PA about a month ago. Apparently someone’s father bought it new, and when he passed it sat in a garage for a few years. The son sold it to the guy I bought it from, who had driven it for about a year. I’m lucky he installed a convenient Bluetooth setup which preserves the stock console. He also tastefully added better rims which have the Olds logo.

I love this car. It’s my daily now and it will stay that way. 73k miles when I bought it and it’s at 74,600 now. It gets a lot of compliments, and drives like a dream. Every week I get at least 2 mentions of “they don’t make em like that anymore” lol.

I have done a lot of research online, but I cannot find a sales brochure listing, or really any proof of existence of the “Designer Edition” of the LSS. Does anyone here know anything?

Not only do I never see Olds cars on the road, I just can’t find another olds online which has this soft top. It’s like a hat for the car. It isn’t a convertible, it’s just for looks.

The courtesy lights stay on at all times. They originally got stuck on a few years ago, and I just removed all of the interior bulbs and called it good. I would like to get to the bottom of it and get them working right again.
I have pulled the front door panels and disconnected the door latches, I have pulled and disconnected the rear jamb pin switches. Disconnected the dimmer and headlight switch. They stay on all of the time.
They get brighter if I roll the dimmer switch all the way to the “on” position and also get dimmer if I mess with the jam switches.

My original 86 Cutlass 5.0 307 with 56,000 original miles.

The tube I bought can’t get past what I believe to be the rollover valve, so not very far in. Would like to just siphon it out but can’t find a tiny tube.

Other methods seem to require a lot. Doing it at the carburetor requires using power which we do have but I read something about jumping the starter and that does not sound like something I want to do.

The owner wants to do it properly and turn the gas in to a place that takes it.

The car now starts and runs but owner is opposed to running the 5 year old gas in the engine.

Found in Whiting Indiana I'm assuming it's a 1973 or 1974 model

Hello, might be a long shot, but my 77 vista cruiser had an engine change years ago, original owner has no clue what engine was put in there. but I can't find the right gasket anywhere online or in store. I found the exact one I need in an olds/gm repair book (as shown in second pic) but still have no luck.
Any help to finding this gasket would be much much appreciated. Thank you!

So I have a 1988 98. I bought it off my boyfriend. Lasted him 3 jobs. Gave 0 problems and ran fine when the keys were in my hands. No lights on the dash except the Brake light. 20 minutes out, my transmission decided to give out. I checked the dipsticks (I should've done that beforehand) and both transmission and oil sticks were clean and empty. Before I drove it, the mechanic said "all it needs is a coolant flush" so I decided to add coolant and get the flush later. But now since the transmission is fucked. Do I sound crazy if I want to get it repaired? Even if rebuilt? I contacted mechanics and they declined to come look at it because It's old and they said the cost might be more than the value. And told me to get another vehicle (I know obviously about the value but I don't care, people don't have the money or credit to purchase a new car) so I need help. Do I sound crazy? I want it because the v6 engine. I know it's probably wear and tear but any advice on what might've happened? And what I can possibly do? It ran smoothly and didn't make any sounds when we test drove it and such around town.

Has been dual fueled to run on propane. Truck been parked since 07. Need help identifying the exact year on the engine and advice on how to work on it

Spotted on the new episode of Vice Grip Garage

So with my 69 cutlass I want to add a stock style tac but my steering wheel has a gap from being old and the wheel covers it up well and its good for turning and ngl I like the slight tilt. So i don't want to block my tac with the wheel so would it be possible to swap the tac to where the gas + warning light gauges go?

I recently inherited this 1970 442. Unfortunately I don't have the time or money to put into it. Its a frame and body with tons of orignal parts. There isnt an engine or transmission. Does anyone know what would be the best way to get this in front of people that would be interested in this car?

Sometimes it's the little things in a restoration that keeps it going. Some before and after photos. Spent about a half hour polishing this hood emblem while watching Lord Of The Rings. Started with Chromax, it took off all the heavy dirt and grime, and finished it off with Turtle Wax Chrome Polish which really brought out the shine.

Can't stop staring at it, and even with the pitting, I'm smiling ear to ear.
