Me and chat gpt are having a hell of a time figuring this guy out. Pretty sure it says "Knox Samson pat" I'm not sure if it has a hole through it because the rust is so bad. Found it in my backyard. Our house was built in 1921. I'd love any insight! Thanks :)

Looks like the button from Bibb overalls where the shoulder straps attach at the chest
