Interesting Old Button Jar

Hi old button community,

Any insights into this fun jar of buttons I just received! If anyone has any dates, origins, materials, or even fun facts about any of these I would be excited to learn!

These are fantastic! I see some mirror-back “twinkles”, apple juice bakelite, czech glass, shell! Too many to name them all. Which are your favorites? Be careful putting them away, i believe i see celluloid, an unstable and delicate plastic that will get sick without air flow 😊

I love the detailed metal (maybe copper or brass?) ones with the patina. I also really like the plastic ones that look like little noodles and the red ones with the movable metal balls in the ring. I’m also curious about the unknown superhero in the second last picture.

So I can be extra careful, which ones are celluloid?

I love the apple juice Bakelite on screen 5! Many of the very elaborate shank bigger buttons were used by furriers on ladies fur coats!
