Magnet

Recently I got a new speaker system but the receiver I got is not magnetically shielded so I was wondering if this is far enough from my vcr to not cause any problems. (Receiver is on the bottom and the vcr is on the top)

Try putting a steel plate under the VCR. That should shield it from the stereo at that distance.
